David Teague

The legend of Stig is still hovering over the forum, with his prediction that Teague wouldn’t last the season coming to fruition today…..
Hmm. This is bigger problem then I thought. I think a few on here weren’t keen on Newman.

Looks like Yze is setting up to get his own assistants. I reckon it is a good idea. Needs to stamp his own coaching on the team.

Apparently Mitchell couldn’t coach 12 weeks ago…everyone needs to chill. Who’s been available in the midfield? Only continuity has been Dow. Newman is not a magician. Needs the players and the players to play together.

Yep. What Richmond supporter would use a Bummers username on a Richmond forum. Laughable.

Yep, but is that because of the development work he did at Box Hill with the players who now form the core of Hawks team...?
Helped change the culture at RFC, before Cotchin took over as well.

So has this been the coaching duties this year....
Newy (Midfield/stoppages), Ziebell (Midfield/stoppages), Teague (Forwards/ball movement), Lambert & Lonergan (Development) plus Ben, Steve and Ivan?
Are they all in the box upstairs on match day? Be a nice old bun fight up there with opinions left and right and Yze down on the boundary!
Which of those areas have done well this year on match days?

Wonder how often Yze has followed their advice and how often Newy has crossed swords with Teague or the others?
So important for the rules of engagement to be set up so they all focus on their own role without interfering with the roles of other coaches.
That must be very difficult since many of those roles overlap to some degree.

Our setup is probably similar to most clubs but I reckon we have too many assistant coaches apart from the Development coaches, they are crucial.

The stage we are at development will be more important than game plan. hope were looking for the best development coaches in the land. The coach that replaces the flag coach are usually out the door before the next success

Yeah. I reckon you're in the money there. We're going to need a patient supporter base and board for Yze to benefit like that.

Has been an assistant coach at the top level for over a decade. Had a stint as senior coach at Carlton.

Spoke well when given presser duty.

Probably - very likely - did some good things with his line, whether it be forwards, mids, ball movement.

Ultimately it seems Yze and the club are looking for a different synergy / skill set.

Teague himself may be looking for a fresh challenge also.

End of story (that we know or can reasonably surmise)
