Yeah criminally underrated player outside the club.

He is rapidly changing that - picked up a vote on ABC - Vlas picked up a vote on one of the channels (Mitchell 2 and Cotch 3) got the other votes

I agree - when we have a back 7 - Rance Astbury Grimes Vlastuin Boobs Houli Bellis,

Rance or Astbury should start at CHF for brief wrongfooting stints (10 minutes a game at well timed moments)

You forgot to add the next big thing. Gangsta Balta

Cool hand Dave

Takes mark, goes back, looks sideways as if to consider options but not seriously, called to move it on, goes down the line. Rinse and repeat.

Dave "Down The Line" Astbury.

Down the Line Dave, like it.

Had a huge start to the season. Has undoutedly stepped up a notch again. Right now he'd be up in the top handfull of big defenders in the comp.

Kane Cornes is frothing at the mouth over Down The Line Dave.

Could DTL Dave be the slowest player in PRE history to get a decent nickname?

Re: David "Premiership Player" Astbury

I'm not sure Dave and Grimes are that underrated. They get plenty of mentions but Rance, the GOAT, always takes most of the limelight. A bit like Scarlett in his prime.

Re: David "Premiership Player" Astbury

Lets never ever forget with no Rance there they would be good ordinary players. Having Rance with you is like being a back up singer to Adele

If he gets rated we could wind up with the AA full back and CHB.

Think he has to get in front of Hurley, which is difficult because as much as I hate all Essendon players, the guy is a gun and racks up B.O.Gs.
And the media love him

Astbury takes a lot of pressure off Rance.
Let's him play with more freedom.
They work well together like Simon and garfunkle

And Grimes. All 3 work well together. Lose one of them and it makes it a lot more difficult for the other two. Teams with great periods of success often have a very solid settled core backline and that's exactly what we have.

Ok, you name a trio of musicians?
