Damien Hardwick

Ashley Martin now Head Master at Caulfield Grammer.
They seem to have an association with Richmond now as a few of our NGV players are borders there.
Unusual appointment for Head Master given that he apparently also runs a hair loss treatment company

Anyone know what Nenad Grubisic is up to these days?

Different person. Ashleigh Martin in Principle of Caulfield Grammar. This guy was Ashley Martin.

I was being silly and the hair mob has an & between the two names anyway!

Actually a few years back there was a bloke who was Head of the Hair and Beauty Department meant at the local TAFE - and he had no hair
They referred to him as the Bald Head of Hair

I know this is been done to death and above is pure passion from us tiger lovers, BUT, i do think the cheating hurt us, and still is with players like Cotch etc.. They used to regularly speak of the admiration and love they had for each other, cant recall either saying anything close to the that this year.

People speak of being professional athletes and they should get over it (were all humans though), but this is not how you get the extra 1/2% we need for our advantage, considering this (connection) along with Emma Murray was our advantage, i personally think it hurt us.

2022, IMO with a healthy list we can still contend for 2 more years, i do hope they can regain the connection and bring us all more silverware, what a great time to be a tigers supporter, so many amazing memories over the past few years. 2017 flew back for GF from Taipei/HK, 2019 watched at a Sydney Swans supporter function (packed with tigers) at a pub in HCMC with mates, 2020 due to COVID watched at home with friends in Shanghai...

Dimma has been amazing and i have great respect for him, ive been divorced before and its not a pleasant experience, wish him well and go tigers in 2022, we need to nail this draft though as this will/should/could provide us with the nucleaus of our next tilt in 5-6 years after our premiership stars retire.
What a load of rubbish , if you think the output from our midfield Prestia Cotch lambert shedda relative to the premiers was due to the coach you’re in fairy land , and did I mention the 4 premiership defenders that missed huge chunk of the year
Tbh I wish it was that easy , Father Time has caught up with most , injuries more prevalent , longer to recuperate and form curve is in general decline , but oh no you hang onto the coaches new relationship being the cause

Anyone been talking about the demise of Simon Goodwin's marriage?
Absolutely disgusting the way commercial media has dredged the Hardwick family's personal life through the papers with clickbait headlines all because Richmond sells media space. It's nobody's *smile* business except theirs.

In fairness, Danielle Hardwick was brought into the public eye by Damien himself. He joked about her in press conferences, more than once, and specifically mentioned her in the 2017 GF speech. He actively promoted her whether that’s what she wanted or not. I don’t think the players’ on field performance was impacted by the split, but I have no doubt that Dimma was not at his best this year, and the separation would have been a factor. The stress, guilt, emotion, loss, grief, dealing with the kids, moving out, the financial settlement all would have been a distraction. Anyone who’s been through it knows what a sh!tshow divorce is. One of the biggest life stresses anyone can go through. And he lost his 2 most senior assistants who would otherwise have been able to take some of the load off him. There’s no doubt he was impacted.

I dont dispute that we had alot of injuries and if you read what i wrote without getting defensive or angry then i think to dismiss what i wrote isnt being realistic. Your entitled to your opinion as i am, i dont/wont accuse you of being in fairyland or state your opinion is rubbish just because i disagree...

As others have said, Mrs. Hardwick was a part of the club with real relationships with players, Cotch often spoke about as others did with reverence of the man Dimma was. We know alot of The Richmond man from reading those books, integrity is a foundation of that. Yes private life is private but as others have said Dimma brought his family into the club and built the Richmond man concept, what he did doesnt embody a Richmond man, or that could easily be the perception. If you think the players didnt care, that's fine, i think alot of them did and probably questioned what he was selling. I think the players like everyone will get over it and it takes good communication to ensure no long lasting effects, stuffing up is part of being human and communication is equally important to move forward.

I like Dimma a lot and don't think it was the main reason for a poor season, as you said we had so many injuries to many of our starting 22, but i also believe what happened whilst none of our business this also would have effected the group, as would have the many very good assistance that have left. To think it didn't effect the club and group isn't being realistic IMO.
