Due to circumstances the Dimma we got in 2021(imo) closely resembled the Dimma of 2016. The one that made me despair due to almost stubbornness on match day and more importantly match selection . Unless we do another off season 3 amigos ( Nank, Prestia and Caddy) I m not so sure we are coming back too far from here.
I was wrong about Hardwick in the past, I just hope I'm wrong again

Has had a poor season like the team. Needs to better come to terms with rule changes & address centre clearance/stoppage issues & over reliance on creating scores from turnovers. The game doesn’t stand still & we have & he has.

Cruelled by injuries in a year where the game was significantly altered with rule changes. Would have been hard enough with a full compliment to choose from.
The big question is do we back the same list to go around again.

KMac retained which is fair enough considering his service but it makes you wonder if Hardwick will dig his heels in.

This is so crucial. Can’t go into 2022 with the same assistants. But I fear the soft cap will prevent us from doing much.

What’s the contract status of the assistants?

We were so much better than everyone else that the AFL had to introduce rule changes to stifle our dominance. Dimma is a great coach but needs to be strong, bold and RUTHLESS this off season. Dead wood MUST go both in playing and coaching ranks!

Is it time to blow the dust off dimmas original stop, start, stoppage game plan. Possess, reset, possess, reset. It was not pretty, but may just work with current rules

Whilst Shocking and Gilligan have done everything they can to end our era the buck stops with Dimma. He destroyed the culture and connection and we've suffered accordingly. No coming back from this.

Our game plan is out dated and is easily picked apart now and yet a simple man on man strategy was never trialed. Bloody hopeless

Dimma copped the perfect shitstorm this year.

even if dale weightman was the AFL operations and evolution manager,

and we had a full list,

and bevo and clarko were guest assistants,

the mental, physical and covid fatigue was palpable.

i think our temporary demise is quite simple and understandable.

we're completely rooted.e

i reckon they should give everyone 3 months off. Switch off phones, dont touch a footy.

and come back and have another dynasty*

* if it means we need to play dinky *smile* netball, stick your dynasty up your arse. Let double up on chaos carnage. Invent a new legal dangerous tackle.

Unless we are in the coaches box or MC meetings we really don’t know who’s to “ blame” for our poor year , bottom line is Dimma has more then enough credits in the bank going forward . Not sure there’s been a coach in history who could have won a flag with the rule changes made to stop the Tiges as well as the key injuries this season . Dimma , Peggy and Benny are the elite of the competition and I’m sure they all know a few things will have to be tweaked , there proven non panickers and don’t make irratIonal decisions .

Now we will have a full pre season to implement new game styles after the new rules were thrown at us as we ran onto the G in round 1 , we will have the bonus of getting nip and tucks done to key players before the pre season starts . I’m not sure how much young talent we have coming through, though we will be adding to it in the draft , however we definitely still have some of he best players going around who will now have that *smile* failed feel going into the pre season as well as arguably the best coach going around with a point to prove .

Not sure what next season will bring , however will hit the off season in a much better position

People see Dimma the footy coach as shown by the media etc
Dimma the person is full of ego and very pig headed
No surprises that Leppa , McCrae and Innes not there this year .
Club changed the assistants in 2016 .
May have to do something similar in 2022. .only my view but I wouldn’t have extended his contract at start of the year .Dimma has lost respect of playing group
Irrelevant of what is said in the media etc
Leppa returned after a stint away. Ego and pig headedness probably a good trait for a head coach. Had a poor year and many of the match committee selections were baffling. But 3 flags gets you a truck load of tickets so he will be around for a few years yet.

we could shift the paradigm again.

playing assistants - jack, cotchy, dave

and use the million bucks saved on an AI genius to use game theory to come up with a way *smile* hockings handicap rules in the arse.

they should call the premiership The Melbourne Cup,

cause its never been more of a handicap event

and we played this season with the equivelent of 65kg.

Even after 37 years of practice, i still find it astonishing

how reactionary and simplistic some tiger supporters can be,

even after peggy and benny and dimma demonstrated in the most explicit possible fashion,

how simplistic, reactionary thinking and behaviour dont work.

hint: if we are process, rather than product- driven, we really need to celebrate 10th as much as 1st. Im just about to head into byron to loot BWS and sing tigerland 1000 times until no sound comes out.

nuh, hollywood couldnt write this three-peat script.

we came so close to a 4-peat, this year would have almost been a 5- peat,

which is exactly why Hocking piled the lead in our saddlebag,

3 in 4 in the era of Covid, caps, annual rule changes?

we are the best side theres ever been.

so get *smile* everyone else.

Even when we’re playing well this year I found it almost unbearable to watch the Shocking STANNNNND rule. It was a huge blight on the game last night when players stood with hands in the air asking why can the kicker stand metres to the side of the mark line and then run off while waiting for an umpire to call play on seconds later. Thank the Lord that Shocking is returning to the cat coup before he completely stuffed the game.

Pointless reminiscing the past . You need to live in the present ! Fair to say the “ off field issues “ has had a huge impact . Irrelevant of what spin they put on it . The divide is there

Fair enough. I hope Dimma bounces back to your criticism the same way Stacky did.
