Damien Hardwick

Looks like that speech about the 'up the stairs' at the B&F was all dreamer stuff. A terrible site for camp, injured players in pre-season, this is a fraud on all members who paid.

Time for seniors to be traded and coaches to be gone. Starting to wonder if Teague is any better now. Kingsley's the big loss.
McRae is the biggest loss

2021 - failed and was understandable, in a way, after 3 out of 4 flags
2022 - we came back after a proper rest though pre-season and played finals
2023 - WTF happened last pre-season for this?????????

Signs of the fall were there in 2022. All those games we lost by under a goal; we kept blowing them and didn't rectify the situation. He keeps saying "we'll learn from this". The fact is we did not.

Our next coach simply had to be Fly or Kingsley. The main issue is the lack of talent to takeover from the legends. Boy oh boy.

There is not one player under 22 that another team would part with a pick under 15 for

They’ve already moved on and it’s killing us.

yeah, they're not exactly riveting personalities or geniuses

McQualters been hanging around like a bad smell for years
and we act like a charity to Teague and Rutten ... was the cupboard that bare?

The club has gone backwards since losing McCrae and Leppitsch and post Dimmas domestic issues after 2020 ......just sayin.

The place has never been the same since.

The vibe the love the fun and energy has been missing since the 21 season kicked off then the injuries every season since have helped kill off any chance we may have had.

Totally agree. The loss of Emma Murray too?

Big concern don't even see an up and coming leader or leaders in the club. Maybe Bakes or even Taranto but cupboard has old mother Hubbard written all.over it. We are in a world of pain for a few more years. Sticks out like kangaroo nuts

Both cheap buys after getting sacked. Rutten I can understand as the players knew him but showed his failure at the Bummers.

Just heard Taranto speak after the game on Ch 7 news and spoke well IMO. He looks like a leader.

Instead of taking the stairs in 2023 I reckon the players have broke the elevators and escalators from overuse and now we are stationery.

They closed us down and did not allow space at all. We dump kicked, missed targets... you name it.

This is what gets me, how come opposition teams can make it hard for our players to find space and we can't do the same to them?

I saw it time and time today, we would get the ball but had few options and every option was a player without any space. Gold Coast had players on the outside with space.

There is something very wrong with the way we set up, not sure what it is exactly but it ain't good. At times we were not defending the corridor and they had options all over the place.

You know you're in trouble when it looks like your team has less players on the ground.

Chasing opponents all day takes it out of players.

We had less problems jamming up the opposition and finding space against Melbourne last week.
