Good to see the Aussies putting away the Poms as well.

70 run opening stand from 5 overs from Warner and Head and that was pretty much game over.

We look a real chance to win this and hold the world champion trophy in all phases. Be quite some feat.

Well, yes, but don't get ahead of yourself. A long way to go. You may have noticed some surprising results too, along with odd conditions. To repeat:

A long way to go.

Yep. T20 cricket is pretty much one random wet fart n it can be game over. Nature of the game is often very explosive n uncontrollable, same as Bali belly, memorable for all the wrong reasons.

No surprise the Aussies got themselves under the pump all of a sudden. Keep sending out the same bunch of tired old farts, half of which have been sadly out of form for quite some time n it's no surprise they've tripped over the shoe laces at a crucial time.
At least it's only a tourney of hit n giggle tip it n run cricket and only important for the dollar churn of the ten second gratification mob.

Didn't a lot of those same tired old farts wining the Ashes, World test Cricket champs & World Cup as well as 3 of their last 4 T20 series?

Think you need a darn tootin lie down

Ben Horne written a scathing article of the scheduling of the Australian teams games v the scheduling of the Indian games.

T20 is not really cricket, but i think it's great Afghanistan beat them
Yep n then there captain or whoever it was had a massive sledge at the Aussies for dropping out of scheduled games against them in recent years. Yet we're happy to play them at all the major tourneys. If there's an issue that we think we need to take a stand on, then we should at least have the guts and integrity to take that stand on the big stage n forfeit the game, instead of just muttering in the back corridors while shafting them over minor games.

3 scenarios in play for all teams:

If Bangladesh chase it down in 12.1 overs Bang will qualify
If Bangladesh chase it down in 12.2 overs Aus will qualify
If Afghanistan win they qualify

You forgot to factor in rain! But it is looking Australia might get a reprieve, with Bangladesh chasing just 115.

Currently raining, needs to be 5 overs to constitute a match. 3.2 bowled, Bangladesh ahead of DLS.
A washout, and no result finishes Australia.

Afghans win. Aussies out. Wanker Whateley will start crying we should've played his loverboy Fraser-McGurk in the squad.
