Cricket

We were 1/108. I'm tipping these next 9 wickets will go cheaply, say under 100.

Pitch is great, absorbing cricket. Aussies doing well.
Both sides gotta play on the same pitch so it's almost irrelevant. All that is relevant is how well the players adapt and play to the conditions. Aussies failed to do any proper pre series development and adaptation work n paid the price in the first two games. Even if we win these next two games the series is drawn at best and India retains the trophy n bragging rights.

Been under the pump with work all day now about to hit the couch and put the cricket on.

Miss anything?

Interesting stat so far is that there was not one extra in the Indian innings.
In Australia’s score of 121 at the moment there are 17 extras including 9 byes ( 4nb and 4lb)
I watched quite a bit of the innings on delay and Carey’s keeping was superb on a very difficult pitch to keep wicket.

Next time someone says how can the umpires not see that, or a professional sport should have a better standard of umpires, or any other nonsense along those lines, think back to this.

Saw bugger all of the day, but what a great days cricket for Australia.

It also showed this Indian team was ripe for the picking - batting wise.

It really is an average top 6 these days (Rohit aside).

This current test match pitch yielded plenty of runs in the last domestic match with about 800 runs being scored in the first two innings. Clearly it has been prepared differently for the test match.
Now we have this article below where a test captain is essentially deciding what sort of pitch they want.
Have I missed some change in the rules that allows a test team to instruct the ground staff on pitch preparation?

Close sources to me have revealed Niton Menon was the arc reviewer for rich v bris.

He thought it was umpires call inside the box and hence over ruled the field call and had no idea whether it was a goal or not but thought it had pitched outside leg.
