Don't forget Callan Ward too. Agreed, lot's of top line talent in 2007. I remember it being touted as the best draft for ruckman pre-draft. Kruezer, McEvoy, Lobbe, Bellchambers, S.Martin.

I know you should never show pity towards Carlton but feel a bit for Kruezer. When he was fit, which wasn't often, he was a good footballer.

It would be nearly impossible to see players knocking back offers to play for us. Especially playing alongside Castgna and maybe Martin would be huge incentives to move.

At the time it really hurt to have to tank V St.Kilda in that last game of 2007 so we could get Cotchin. Otherwise Carlton would of got Kreuzer and Cotchin.

I feel it for him. I reckon he was made to play too much too soon at the Blooze. Rucks need time to build up the battle scars needed to bash and crash with the older bodies. I'm sure their issues with their list forced their hand but still. I reckon they shortened his career by several years.
