Thought give it to Lids to wake him up.
On onfield efforts so far none of the expereinced senior players deserves the captaincy.
I really think Martins efforts so far warrant him being captain but cant see that happening as it may put a few noses out of joint.

Our best and fairest footballer for the past two years would be the onbvious choice for stand in skipper with such a young side and virtually no other options.
IMO Lids should revel in the role with the pressure of leading the young kids.

Yeah, I agree. He *should*, but I'm not convinced he will.
Actually, if it doesn't go to Jacko I think Cotchin should get it. He's shown more leadership in a very short space of time than Lids has IMHO.

I'd love to see Jacko given a chance to captain. He shows good leadership and encouragement on the field. He stays calm and always keeps putting in, tho' admittedly Lids sets a better example skills-wise.

Cotch had 9 disposals last week - Deledio I think had 20 and has won the last 2 best and fairests
