Coronavirus

Look after each other and do what you can to keep it flat.

Agree 100%. But does that mean pricks who are deliberately disobeying the laws and advice of medical professionals thereby putting the rest of the community at risk, whilst the vast majority genuinely tries to do the right thing, are not open to strident criticism?

And yeh the virus is insidious but it seems its also containable. If people do the right thing.

Will be interesting to see what happens in NSW. They should end up just like we have, with 100's of new daily cases.

Nope, it doesn't. But lashing out at subsections of society as a whole because certain individuals are morons just fuels the underlying issues.

The DHHS have their numbers out now. It is such a moving feast though, have to go back and correct earlier numbers as they keep changing, just one or two here and there but still. Also, so many sources for this info, and all with different totals. Insane!

Anyway here is what I get from the DHHS, sorry it is a bit long, might start restricting this to the last couple of weeks:

Oh well, we just need to keep trying, avoid going out, wear masks etc.

I can certainly understand the attitudes of some of the young. What a mess we are leaving them. Climate change, ridiculously overpriced housing, lack of job security, stagnating wages, high fees for uni, the list goes on. Most are responsible, no visits from my daughter any more. We need to give them some incentive to be part of a community, maybe if the neo-liberal mindset that there is no such thing as society hadn't been rammed into their heads throughout their whole lives it might have helped.

Around 390 new cases in Vic is the leaked number today. Not reading anything into that given that 3 days ago it was under 300 and then went above 700 & 600 the next two days.

Reporting of tougher lock down is becoming more prevalent. Presser at 11.30am will be interesting.

390 will still point to an increasing 7 day moving average as we will be dropping off a lower number.
