Coronavirus

Our test numbers have been quite low this week in comparison with the previous couple of weeks; I wonder why?
Test numbers are driven a lot by people having voluntary testing so the assumption from that could be one of two things. Less people have symptoms and decide to get tested ( which is good) or people are getting complacent (which is bad)

Or a lot of people who are likely to choose to get tested have already done so, possibly more than once.

What is wrong with people? Refusing to isolate, lying on border declarations? Meanwhile ScoMo reckons WA should open it's borders.
Already one infection confirmed because of these idiots. More to come.

cant speak for others but I’ve barely left the house in the past couple of weeks. Reckon the lockdown measures must be starting to have an impact.

That idiot the other day who filmed herself going through the police road block, tried it on again today - but got arrested after the cops broke her windows to get her out.

I wonder if she tried the "I have to consent to legislation" line again. What an idiot.

I reckon Andrews generally speaks very well, and present very well at his press conferences, but he did labour the point a little too much yesterday that residential Aged Care facilities are federally run.
a good point though was that i think 6 people in state run facilities are active cases, out of about 700 in aged care, but the state run about 10% of the facilities.
It would be interesting to know where the state run facilities are though- if they are all in regional areas that could explain the difference.
There is a post a few pages back with links....t.he overwhelming majority of Dans "state run" centres are in rural and regional areas....precisely where there are few if any community transmissions. And look at the Melbourne map of infections .... The suburbs with highest community cases have the highest aged care infection rates..

I note Dan the dirty does not make any comment about how many cases there are amongst staff in his supposedlyCOVId immune state run hospitals.

Andto experts I say how does someone socially distance when their job is to wipe another persons arse?

"Two teenagers who tested positive to coronavirus in Queensland allegedly travelled to Melbourne this month on a shoplifting mission to steal luxury handbags.

As fears rose that the 19-year-old women had triggered Queensland’s first community-transmitted cluster in months — with a sister of one of the pair also testing positive late on Wednesday — it emerged they were wanted by Victoria Police.

It is understood the pair are under investigation over an attempted theft of Bottega Veneta handbags at a high-end store in Melbourne, with suspicions they travelled interstate specifically to shoplift the goods and sell them."

The 2 Queensland imbecilic women who travelled to Melbourne and then back to QLD have been named and shamed. Lied about their movements in the QLD and then spent over a week spreading the virus throughout the community. And the icing on the cake is that they were allegedly in Melbourne with primary aim of stealing designer hand bags.

What quality people . They've been fined $4K but that's not enough. Give them 6 months in the slammer. This is reprehensible behaviour.Apparently one of them went to the doctor feeling sick on a Saturday and was told to get tested immediately. She proceeded to go out on the town for the next two days and did not get tested until Monday. Who knows how many people they have infected.

They may not have known they had the virus but they knew they were doing the wrong thing by lying and avoiding isolation. They may just have started an outbreak in a state with no community transmission. What a disgrace. No excuse for them; lock the selfish turds up.

I heard ABC radio report last night that there is genomic mapping that shows that every single active case in Australia today traces back to the Rydges Swanston Hotel. Every case. Hotel quarantine disaster. I'm not sure how many senior Govt and public service officials can survive this. Absolute failure and ineptitude has lead to this catastrophic 2nd wave that is cutting a swathe through our elderly population.

Also read that authorities have reported to police 29 people that have tested positive but were not self isolating at home. Checks were done and these people were not at home. Out spreading it in the community. How will we ever get on top of this when we have so many selfish arseholes in this world:mad:

Lock them up as well. They are deliberately spreading the virus.

Ill take this one.

Use a mop.

Funny story for the melbourne bros and sisters banged up.

I was at the super market checkout yesterday and the checkout woman scanned my 100% bamboo dunny paper

And goes 'hmmmmm, i havnt tried this one, whats it like?'

It wasnt a rhetorical or comedic question. I composed myself and went

'Well, its done everything ive asked of it. Its slipperier than i like, but makes up for it on price, softness and sustainability. I havnt broken through once but i tend to go 5 or 6 thick. They reckon bamboo grows an inch a day'

'Really? Ill have to get some' she went

Apparently 700 cases today and 13 deaths, bloody hell
*smile* really? :(

No surprise I guess when you consider that there are at least 29 positive cases who have been found not to be isolating and spreading this insidious virus throughout the community. We need a new law for these people; mandatory 28 day isolation; in prison!

*smile* selfish pricks
