Trump used the word “inject,” but what he meant was using a process — which he left “medical doctors” to define — in which patients’ lungs might be cleared of the virus, given new knowledge about its response to light and other factors.
we all know he is stupid, most sensible people have always known it, and those who took a while to realise im sure would now happily admit they were wrong, but im not sure what would actually be worse, the prez seriously suggesting injecting disinfectant, and the prez sarcastically suggesting it, and leaving it out there for 24 hours before letting everyone in on the brilliant joke.Dr Trump now gas-lighting today saying he was being sarcastic to reporters yesterday to see what would happen.
I reckon he's jumped the shark with this one. Comes off as a desperate crazy liar. Any credibility he had is now mud.
America is a laughing stock whilst he's their president.
Who knows what they'll do over there, you'd think they'd be too embarrassed to have him as their President again.
He's a dead set laughing stock, as they would be if they voted him in again.
One thing I do know, the lead up to the election will be more toxic that this hideous COVID-19 virus.
The USA is never embarrassed by what the rest of the world thinks about them. For the leaders, they don't care, the rest of the country take little or no notice of anything outside their exceptional country. Very insular. Look at the percentage of US citizens who hold a passport, very low because they don't want to see the rest of the world. Which is also why you meet the best of their country when you meet Americans overseas, they are the ones who actually understand there is a whole world outside of the USA.
The only time I went to the USA it was bemusing to see the way their immigration officials are so suspicious of everyone. They have the attitude that you will want to overstay your visa and stay there. Why would I want to live in that hole?
Yep, the USA is still quite likely to vote this idiot in for a second term, even after his gross incompetence over his pandemic.

Wrong. Over 40% of Americans hold passports.Very insular. Look at the percentage of US citizens who hold a passport, very low because they don't want to see the rest of the world. Although if you are seriously considering injecting yourself with disinfectant you may as well be asking a doctor of philsosphy or economics or...

Its alright, Americans don't understand sarcasm anyway.
Sovereignty is a gimme. What about Telstra? At the end of the day they could already report on triangulation of people's mobiles on their network to a level that could determine who has been in proximity to someone with the lergy. So we're going to have an app with lots of people's data stored so people can work out if they have had contact with someone who is infected.
Who would you trust the data to? Somewhere secure, a struggling Australian tech company maybe?
How about a tech company known for collecting lots of data on everyone? How about a company which will likely store the data overseas? How about we contract it out to Amazon. FFS.
And Scott from Marketing says they will legislate so the data is protected. Really? You do realise that they will store the data overseas . . . where Australian laws don't apply?
Well that should turn a lot of people off.
