Connors

Has to play. Did nothing wrong in his one outing and had 30 odd touches and 10 marks last week.

Although a Tivers and Hyde farewell game is not out of the question.

The Terry Wallace "picks" in Tambling and Edwards definately get a better run at the selection table.

Often apparently
Some might say seriously often.
Guys like Jacko probably get games because they do all the right things to get the best out of themselves at every opportunity.
Others with more talent need to learn that if they want to play at the elite level they need to pull their boof heads in a bit and put the hard yards in so they can maximise the talent they do have.

Connors is a bit of a wanka if thats true. Anyone would kill for his talent and he might throw it away.

In Connors only game this year he did nothing wrong and got dropped. TW obviously doesn't like him - anyone know why?

I don't know that it's a personality issue, but he did play a reasonable game against West Coast.

The following week his was the only change to allow Thursfield back in against the bummers.

I think Morton has had his chance and would like to see Connors in for him.

I wasnt happy with the decision so drop Morton last week, he ended back in anyway. But thats 2 weeks in a row he just didnt work hard enough and didnt look interested. So Connors in for Morton.

Nice work checkerboard.

yep no complaints from me after 3 weeks of little impact from Mitch. Connors in im also happy with.

No surprise if he (Mitch) gets the arse this week.

Pattison should join him also for Gus and maybe Danny Meyer to replace King also, it would also be nice to see Al Rance get a run before the season is out also, just to give him a guide for where he should aim up for next year.

Get some time into some others.

All we need is Collins and Peterson to show a bit and last years draft is looking like a ripper for us.

Hope that's not a fluke. Francis Jackson might end up being the most important recruit in the last 25 years.

Agree. If Peterson can take the netx step he'll be...

lol @ the PRE propaganda machine into Connors for his "supposed" lack of commitment.

We cry for guys with a bit of talent, arrogance & attitude then people sulk when we get them.

well you take what you get with online forum.

One things that nags at me is why has someone which such obvious talent made the best or had a 30 possession game so rarely in the Burg? I do really like him though and would be very upset if he wasn't picked this week.

I reckon Knights has done at least as much for the smallgoods in a year or so as Terry has done in four.

But there's an Esserden player who might be a bit like Connors in terms of the way the coach persecutes him and the reasons for this - Bachar Houli.

Houli (2007) is as soft as butter and only runs forward of the ball as a policy because he spends most of his time posing for footy card snaps - it's all about Marshmallow Bachar Houli.

He can win the ball at ground level and his technique by hand and foot is exemplary despite the fact that if you run at him he will turn it over because he's frightened.

Esserden fans, who are notoriously bad judges because is Don is good, don't see the deficiencies and they are all sniveling about the persecution of their darling new midfield star - Bachar.

During the preseason games Knights stationed Bachar chiefly on a HBF. That would be the schooling position. He played Heath Hocking and Lonergan in the middle and make no mistake, if you'd asked Houli why he wasn't playin midfield he'd have told you that the coach had better girlfriends.

By round one we all thought Houli would be in the side but he wasn't. He didn't make the side until round three. But he'd improved his onfield attitude by a thousand percent.

If we were fair dinkum about bringing through the next group you might say Connors should have been selected in much the same role as Houli. But we'd just traded pick #19 for Jordy. And maybe there was another problem with Connors. Skinfolds or tan times.

Connors seems to be getting the rough end. Some would say persecuted. But I don't care. The more youngsters we persecute the better IMO. It's a tried and true method of getting the best out of them.

When Connors says, at the coterie function, that he's not getting a game because, say, he doesn't run hard enough the other way he'll be ready for senior selection. The rest is U14 stuff - that you jump on. Soft on.

Let the persecution continue. Let's stick the broom up his arse and get him to sweep the floor.
