Clubs inform to cut Footy Dept Spend

Tough call. Players whose contacts are heavily loaded for this season will be a lot more impacted than others.

Needs to happen but some thought needs to go into it.

Pay cuts will be averaged out over length of contract, acc to Caro.

I think the most likely outcome is it will be spread over a period of time, much like purchasing annual leave but without accruing the leave.

I think most clubs are asking people to discreetly indicate what they can manage at the moment, hopefully that will be enough and it won't become a forced cut.

Sounds reasonable, the AFL will have to play ball to though, some flexibility will be required.
