Changes vs St. Kilda

Marlion has become structurally important the past few weeks. Playing the Caddy role, bigger body, threat in the air, physical pressure, work rate.

Could Kamdyn play this role? Banks to play on Kamdyn's wing.
Bauer. Just got the bite the bullet now and play him.

Bauer or Trezise both have pace, intensity and can mark. Both can play the defensive forward position.

More challenges for our selectors this week to be able to keep patching up our forward line. Mansell has been good for a goal a game and provides that pressure and I think Marlion has also shown some support to the speed and pressuring.

Just as the team was settling and gelling well these are massive holes to fill.

Our challenge against the sainters will be keeping the ball locked into our forward half, halting their easy transition and kicking a winning score.

This game will show us how well Mini can coach - a must win game at the G.

The key behind doing that is doing what we did on Sat night, and taking that extra handball or short kick outside of 50 before moving it in. Ie. no more bombing. Appeared to be a clear tactic on Saturday and we will need to do it again this Saturday as the Saints set up very well behind the ball.

Kamdyn is too valuable on wing, those powerful marks were the "freo breakers", he needs to stay there, with the possibility of Pickett missing. MJ for Mansell (we need pace in our forward line with pressure). we need another tall or strong body player with quick movements.

Last year Bauer looked so good in the forward line. This year he has gone back and looked assured, good ball user. In the last few weeks, he has been starting back and going forward, needs to settle in one spot and make it his own.

Cumberland has an injured calf apparently.

Not sure with Hugo, 1 x touch as the sub in 17 minutes of intense play, should go back to the VFL.

Banks was impressive in the VFL and kicked a very nice goal early. Brown was ok but probably needs a little more match play before being considered for elevation.

Dow almost a certainty to be delisted and Sonsie was ok. The VFL listed players were much better than the AFL boys.

No changes unless Mansel and Marlion forced out
Then cumbo and banks come in

because he plays a completely diferent position. It will be either MRJ or Coulthard that replace Mansell you'd think, but neither really stood out today. Not sure if Cumbo will be fit.
Don't forget that the coaches and MC have a habit of playing people out of position! BTW, I seem to remember that Mansell played in defence in his first season with us
