Changes vs Port

he doesn't need a run in the reserves

In Pickett, Balta, Stack, Cumberland
Out Ross, Soldo, Castagna, MJ,

Good idea to rotate our small forwards to keep them fresh and hungry

Grimes Tarrant Gibcus
Vlastuin Broad Rioli
Pickett Cotchin McIntosh
Bolton Balta Cumberland
Baker Riewoldt Martin
Nank Prestia Short
Stack, Edwards, Graham, Ralphsmith
According to Dimma he does need a run on the VFL.

I’m tipping less then 20k get to the G Thursday night
Would be no surprise. Cold wet n miserable on a Thurs night where people still have to work the Fri will make for a pathetic crowd.

Soon as I saw we were scheduled for two Thurs night games in a row I booked me a couple of Fridays off from work. Gives me plenty of veg time over the weekends to recover from being cold wet n hopefully not miserable.

I'll still be there for both Thursday games. I reckon 25K+ but these Thursday games in the middle of winter with work and school the next day is a dead set joke!
AFL couldn't care less about the fans, and why schedule us for 2 in a row! That tells me the AFL has it in for us. 10 teams in VIC and we get it twice

For some reason Dimma doesn't rate him as a starting 22. Has left him out of the initial line up a couple of times when fit this year. His form and importance makes him a walk up start even after 4 weeks out.

What the hell would Dimma know?

Last time he told his missus she needed a run in the reserves it cost him a house in Brighton and us a chance at 3 in a row.

Hence he is not a very good judge.

He only played the 2019 GF because his ex told him to pick him. Now she is not around he continues to underrate his importance. If George plays ahead of him this week Dimma has lost the plot officially

You could get a job at Essendurgs with that sort of brilliant left field thinking.
I haven't exactly dreamt it up by myself , they get Soldo drift to a spot , off centre and around 20-30mtrs out , still gives room for Jack & Tom to do their thing at the top of the square

Air Godcus any chance of starting forward this week.

Reckon he might.

Love George but have a suspicion Cumberland might take his place. Even Leysy can't condone 2 touches. if so he'll be back though.

They'll be keen to give Cumberland a run after his "debut" last week. Reckon a touch of guilt over it.

Disappointing Leysy. Cant believe you have jumped off the great man.

Correct. If it's about ground coverage then Pickett can easily match George. He has him covered in every other aspect aswell.

massive puzzle...deserves a public explanation

Our form against Port at the G is ok, considering we have only played them 3 times at the G since 2012 (1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw), the draw was in 2012, the loss was in 2016, and the win was in 2019. I am fully expecting to beat them. We have found our mojo "fast ball movement and pressure" and only undisciplined acts have cost us a few extra wins. Time to stamp that out as we cant afford to be gifting free goals to the opposition.
so you are saying we have beaten them once at the G in 10 years. Dan Conca was right, that is poor.

in our golden run we thrived at this time of the year at the G when it was wet and cold ,

Be interesting to see if that still stands

No loss playing Pickett in George's role. Can easily match him in the air and play up the ground too.

it nto about the crowd, its about the TV audience. Cold winters night people will watch which = eyeballs and money. Thats all the care about is how it rates on TV.
