You have missed Balta.
If we move Balta forward, remembering he was BOG in defence against Adelaide, then that leaves Miller as the one sole key defender, and we’re still leaving the forward line one big guy short when Balta relieves Nank in the ruck. The team is better balanced with one of Kosi or Ryan in it at present.

No. If you have another look u will see Blight on the i/c.

He was credited with 4 possessions!
He is far below the standard and has shown no sign of improvement.

You seem unable to come to terms with the fact that he hasn’t become the player you thought he might be. Did nothing to deserve his selection and his performance reflected that truth.

No-one, and I mean no-one, expected Kosi to be 1 of the best forwards in the comp, all we expected was for him to compete, kick a few goals and bring the ball to ground and he did that on Thursday night.

If you played Balta in that role, then you completely and utterly waste Balta playing him as a sole tall forward target, and why it wasn't done. Whilst there is some merit to playing him forward with Lynch (he "could" be a very very good tall forward), we already know how good he is down back. I agree with Yze that we need 2 of him, but we don't own a cloning machine so you play him where he adds the most value to the team and that IMO is clearly as a backman.

I wonder what rules would be put in place if there was a cloning machine. Would it be like father-son, 1 clone per 100 games?

I pray to baby jesus we don't play lynch till after the bye surely someone with half a brain would recognise that would be a poor decision. If hopper and Graham's management hasn't shown this then as a club we are back to the lost years

Kosi.. not going over that. It is what it is and that is way below what is needed. If Lynch comes in this week either he or Ryan will miss.
Expect Ryan to play but he also has had his chances and doesn't seem to be ready. Chol, an old favourite, now well in front of these two.

With Lefau out one other possibility is that an opportunity is given to either Blight or Bauer to play back with the uniquely skilled Balta moving forward and playing again as a tall forward and relieving ruck, (the rucking even he cant do from FB).
Gray as a tall forward/ruck is also a possibility, albeit a less accomplished one. Maybe eventually HB also.

We aren't playing finals. We are also likely to focus use of our draft pick advantage on one, hopefully two, first round mids.

Rather than flog a dead horse in regard to our available tall forwards, changes should come.

Others may see it differently but in this regard I'd rather see Balta, who suggested the other night on fox that he is happy to play anywhere, to continue forward, -with opportunities at the higher level given to the likes of Blight and Bauer in defence and Gray in the forward line.

They tried the Balta forward experiment for as long as they could. With the injuries we have and the players available, it is better for everyone if Noah remains in defence. Blight and Gray will probably get opportunities after the bye, but unless he’s injured I can’t see Balta moving out of the backline for anything more than a cameo.

I want Trezise and Bauer in the side preferably playing Bauer in the FL and Trezise to replace Short.

True - but I expected him to be one of the best forwards at the Club - particularly when Lynch was missing and Balta is where he should be at FB
Sadly he’s disappointed

Need Lynch to play if we are a chance.
Only problem with playing Lynch before the bye is he has been looked after by our strength and conditioning team and we all know they have been found wanting far to often so I don't want to see Tom playing half a game and go down injured yet again
