Changes vs Hawks

We need a tall that’ll provide a contest not let Sicily to control the backline or he’ll destroy us
Mansell or Cumbo shouldn’t be given that role Maybe a fired up Kosi can do it?

He'd be fired up against his old side.

Depending on tonight’s VFL game and Lynch’s fitness,
In:
Bauer Blight Lynch and Martin
Out:
Prestia managed, Koschitzke Ryan and Sonsie omitted.

B Broad Miller Vlastuin
HB Short Brown Rioli
C Ralphsmith Bolton McAuliffe
HF Mansell Cumberland Campbell
F Martin Lynch Balta
R Nankervis Taranto Baker
I/C Blight* Dow Graham and McIntosh
Sub Bauer.
If we dropped both Kosi and Ryan even with Lynch coming back that’s asking a Lynch back from injury to be the only tall forward and who relieves Nank in the ruck?

Sicily will burn Cumbo and Mansell, Sicily is a smart campaigner.

2 tall targets in our forward line. We need marks badly.
TF this guy is possibly the least able mature player to arrive in the last 15 years. Enough already.
That utter dumbness of his recruitment is going to be shoved in our faces next week
when we see Chol in action !
He has done nothing.
Bauer, Gray or Balta forward to be replaced by Blight in defence is a far better option.
Even Ryan.

Kick properly to him and he can mark and goal as we saw late in the game this week. He's not lazy and does the 1%ers.

We have just about got a functioning back line with Balta leading so I would rather keep him in his natural position than bring in a kid like Bright ( who has a lot of potential) who only joined the club last week and has still to learn the game plan, the teammates and the pace. Same said for Gray but I would like to see Bauer alongside Lynch

Noah was great on Thursday. He is an amazing footballer with speed, skill and strength. He was the only reasonable choice as a tall forward when Lynch went down with Koschitzke letting us down badly early, as he did again on Thursday.

This week Lynch coming back on such an occasion is also a bit of a punt.

Gray or Blight look to be ready. They have both impressed before and since and have clearly been recruited to play this season.

I understand the wish to keep Balta back especially after his heroics on Thursday.

Bauer and Gray are the future.
To repeat the Koschitzke mistake would be insanity except of course if we don’t really want the 4 points.

And I have to say I am beginning to wonder. Using Shai as a key position forward rather than in the midfield is hard to follow. He got us going in the second half on Thursday but then Adem drew back and left Graham Taranto and Prestia in the midfield all to slow to keep up the pressure brought by Shai.
Odd decision again by coach?

Kosi was ok on Thursday. Had Cumbo not had that brainfade, probably comes away from the game with 2 goals and multiple times he brought the ball to ground by competing.

You have an almost obsession over him as to how bad you stress he is constantly.

He was credited with 4 possessions!
He is far below the standard and has shown no sign of improvement.

You seem unable to come to terms with the fact that he hasn’t become the player you thought he might be. Did nothing to deserve his selection and his performance reflected that truth.

I tend to agree but I think he will stay in the side with the aim of keeping his tall opponent away from Lynch as much as possible assuming Lynch plays. We've had alot of team changes every week and I think they'll want to keep changes minimal and re-assess after the bye.

Hawks win haven’t been that impressive
North, dogs, saints, lions, crows
And GWS and threw away Port game. They'll possibly make the 8. Play bottom 3 sides four more times and only play 3 of current top 8 for the rest of the season; Carlton, Geelong & Freo.
