i think we can. Last time, they flooded the backline and fully covered both Tom and Jack. This time, I hope Tom works up the ground (taking a tall defender with him) he has been winning these battles thus far, or if all three are forward line, they won't be able to cover all three talls. I can see this as our supporters shouting "Samsom, Samson" night.

Last time Tom kicked 6 or 7 goals on Darcy Moore so clearly wasn’t covered by pies backline and didn’t need to work up the ground.

Id only bring Ross in to play the Hopper role not on the wing or backline.
Cumbo to come in for Martin.
Miller for Broad.
Mansell to maul Nick Daicos all night

Forecast is for cool and showers, which should nullify some of their game and suit us. Reckon its important we are not too big! Clarke is pretty much a straight swap for Short (similar role anyway), Mansell for Broad in a lock down role. We have enough height with Balta, Young, Grimes and Vlaustin. Ross is straight (but inferior swap) for Hopper. Perhaps Cotchin more midfield time and play a pure forward like Cumby (since he is apparently too similar to Duz)

Perhaps we should play Biggy or Miller as the 2nd ruck this week - I am not very confident in Ryan in wet slippery conditions (those similar to his debut).

Cumberland wasn’t great offensively but I think the coaches will look at the 6 tackles and be happy with that. After all, we know what he can do offensively

Mighta been laying tackles coz he couldn't get near the pill.
I'm a fan of the Cummerbund n hoping he's back in the ones sooner rather than later. Obviously trying to adjust his game a bit is going to throw him out of sync for a bit till he fully learns his new role. Still wouldn't consider putting him up into seniors on the back of his game against Preston though.

I reckon Dusty and Hopper will play. A decision on Wednesday arvo.

Short won't and broad will be suspended. I'd look to Ralphsmith, Clarke, Sonsie, and Cumberland to name a few. We have a few talented players that can come in.

Undecided whether to keep young in or replace him with miller. For broad, id put macintosh back into his spot and put either ralphsmith or Clarke on the wing.
