Changes v Skunks

Sonsie for Martin, Ross for Hopps and would love to see Banks in for Broad for 4 games but not sure that will happen, maybe Mansell perhaps.

Leaves Juddy as the sub.

Still a chance for a wet/slippery night. This will negate their rat race style run.

Didn't realise the Cats were in front for so long in that game.
Two crucial goals for the Pies in the 3Q to peg the lead back.
Sidebottom then Noble ran the ball along the wing, then deliberately kicked inboard.
JDG then Hill marked uncontested in the corridor and goaled.

Reckon their smalls might give us a tough time. Don’t like our outs or potential outs. The next 3 weeks will set up our season.

Interesting comments by Buckley today. Even though Collingwood set up with a back 6 or 7 the only play with 5 down back allowing the other 1 or 2 to play as midfielders. The 1 player always being N. Daicos and then you have either Pendlebury or Crisp also playing that role.

We have to either hold our shape and expose them going forward with long kicks to our forward line effectively by passing the midfield. When we don’t have the ball then Macintosh and Pickett become crucial. They need to play more central and block the corridor. Make them play through the wings.

It would be too much of a risk to play Dusty if there is a whiff of a hamstring.

In Clarke, Cumberland, Mansell and Miller.
Out Broad suspended, Hopper, Martin and Short injured.

HB McIntosh Grimes Rioli D,
C Mansell Bolton Pickett

Yep. That is the key to the Pies. Cannot allow them to come back into the corridor. That is how they score heavily and repeatedly. Need to push them to the wings to take the long route to goal which should allow us to setup defensively and then hit them on the counter. They are setup as a slingshot with the corridor the main focus. The fact that N.Daicos has such an amazing football brain and skills to execute has actually fast forwarded their development. That is why i still say they are one of the luckiest teams in the comp. Get a no. 1 pick that is actually crucial to the way they want to play for peanuts. Hope they do well during the season and continue to fail during the finals. Cannot stand them!!

Nick D cost pick 4, not peanuts but still cheap.

D Moore cost pick 9.

Top 10 father sons would be a list managers dream.

there's opportunity here with their contemptuous numbers down back.

other teams can rebound against us by exploiting our -1 up forward but Collingwood won't be able to do that

if we can generate our usual number of inside 50s, collingwood will give us looks at goal.

some folks might be surprised at an uptick in forward efficiency this week.

unless it shites down and becomes a mud wrestle, which is also a win for us.
