Changes v lolNorf

It looks like Balta, Cotch and Nank will be avaiable, so fewer changes than first thought.
With only a six day turnaround before Fremantle, maybe side will be selected with Freo matchups also in mind and Cotch will sit one more out, but remain nearby.

So 5 changes.
In Balta, Gibcus Ryan Sonsie* and Vlastuin.
Out Aarts Castagna Cumberland sub, Dow Lynch and Soldo.

B Vlastuin Tarrant Miller
HB Grimes Broad Rioli D,
C Pickett Short McIntosh
HF Baker Bolton Gibcus
F Edwards Riewoldt Balta

(Jack and therefore the forward line won’t function without a strong marking ball contester at his side, and Gibbo is not that yet).

Sub Cotchin.
Tigers by 20.

Cotch and Dusty to return for the Freo game possibly to replace Edwards to sub and other poor performer, yet to be identified!
 
Miller to keep his spot, Gibus via the magoos.

Balta and Ryan to ruck. Don't think Nank gets up.

Play Sonsie. Play Clarke. George and Aarts back to their level.

Can you still turn up to Marvel on Saturday and buy tickets at the gate? Don’t really want to prebook and pay fees when I know it’s going be far from a sell out. Cheers

RIP Willie Rioli snr. Played with the Hawks in 1991.

Once again, only 50 and by a heart attack. Why is this so often with indigenous people?

That is probably the way they will go but without Lynch I think some Balta like replacement is needed with Jack as a high forward.
Also like to see some attempt to prepare our defence for the Fremantle tall forwards, the following week.
No use swinging Miller in and out. He needs a bit more time.

Willie Snr unfortunately never registered a senior game with the Hawks. I worked with a bloke who had an association with him when he was down here and it was his opinion that Willie was too light for VFL/AFL. Hawthorn were a very powerful side at the time.

Yeah, I think I remember him playing in the magoos from memory. Looked very small.

If Dan and MJ are out, then I'd much prefer Parker to replace MJ than Castagna getting a reprieve, parker actually plays well on Marvel
