Changes v Crows

you reckon hes gonna be a good, consistent, long term, Richmond player?

Not the point... I reckon he can etch out 50-100 games, wheres he at now? 20 odd? I see others passing him by and that would be a good thing, but no one should hate our players doing their best.. For me, its Arts, and i like the guy, but hes not up to it, beautiful man though.

Jesus Christ, no one hates Jack Ross.

Some on here, me included, think he does not add much to the team.

Some here, me included, think Dimma and the match committee can err on the conservative side at times.

Ross is a diligent runner and competitor, a coaches dream. Clearly a safe selection for our match committee in terms of structure and process.

That does not mean those who criticise him are wrong. We have eyes and see Ross’s flaws week in week out.

I’d prefer he was VFL only but of course wish him all the best today.

Nah, until our coach can show that he knows what it takes to be successful, us nuffies on a fan forum have every right to boost our egos by pretending we know better.

You are not half as smart as you think you are.

Hint: the coaches are fallible. Not everyone on PRE is wrong if they disagree with selection. And finally, Dimma himself, the best coach in the land, is now secure enough in himself to admit to bad days every now and then.

Agreed, no one hates Jack Ross. But we know what he brings and acording to the VFL watchers we have Sam Mitchell, Peter Matera, Daryn Cresswell and Tom Stewart running around down there so it would nice to see one of them.

Ross again - lol.

yep, not even Dimma is perfect, and i dont agree with everything he does- i wouldnt have gone with the 5 talls. but a few posters on here could never admit that maybe they are fallible also, and that maybe he deserves the benefit of the doubt with selections and moves he makes.

I cannot recall a single PRE poster claiming omniscient expertise on football matters.

There is frustration in the game day thread, there are somewhat adventurous analyses and predictions, all colourful and all welcome.

But these supremely confident pundits who think they know better than Dimma are figments of your imagination.

An opinion on selection. A thousand decisions around selection, tactics, structure, rotation go into each game.

If King Kong or any other poster feels like one of these specific decisions is incorrect, that is a reasonable position, even if they are in time shown to be wrong.

If King King or any other poster feels like Dimma is hopeless and always gets it wrong, that is clearly unreasonable.

Not sure what your point is

Disagree. I think there's plenty of hate for Ross being shown - or at least derogatory remarks. I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as some make out. There are a couple of Tiger legends I'd definitely have him ahead of right now. So yes safe decisions are being made. And I think that's unfortunate for the progress of our younger players. Give them a go. There's no reason in light of where the Tigers are atm, that we should be fielding the second oldest side and that's excluding 30+ yr olds Grimes, Dusty and Lambert.
