Changes v Cats

It's good to see Towner and Graham back. We really need their hardness around the contest after last week's smashing. It would have been good to bring in another key defender but the cupboard is bare at the moment. It could be ugly this week if we bring the same lack of intensity at the contest as last week.

Towner!

Vlaustin to be CHB ala mid 90's Unc Dunc on Carey? Menadue to take the Broad role?

Naish debut.

Don't mind the changes.

I'll freely admit, i don't get this defence set up this week... shinning is either crazy clever or just plain crazy...

Surprised that Broad was dropped and more so that Townsend has another game in AFL as I thought his time was over but he is a trier so good luck to him. Also a bit surprised Naish is playing this week against the Cats but he has worked hard for his place so hope he has a great debut

Big statement on Bolton again also being overlooked here.

He is still not obviously following his template or team rules.

His statement re "showing off " in Perth in front of the family would notve gone unnoticed.

I cant help but feel that each time he gets omitted is another omission closer to him going.

Kid is an awesomely talented player but still unreliable, Ralph will probably start making phone calls this week ;)

You guys don't get it. We aren't going to play Towner up front to replace Bolton, we are going to play him down back to replace Broad.

"But he has never played defence Brett, and he is too slow".

Doesn't have to be quick or experienced, all Towner has to do is hit Gary Ablett early with a crunching tackle and then eat him alive when he tries his stupid forearm to the face shtick. Voila he has paid his admission price! Saying that, we will still lose given a defence with more holes than a rusted sieve, but what the hell, I will be happy.

Sometimes you have to not worry too much about the outcome but rather slow down, smell the roses, and admire the simple aesthetic - of... Crash! Bang! Whallop! Gary Ablett a champion of our game smeared all over the home of football. [Little tribute there to Darrell Eastlake, may he rest somewhere exciting]

Uhmmm kids if you currently play AFL you should probably ignore this post.

Dumpires are:-

9............Stevic---God help us.
14......... Gavine----know nothing about him
19..........Wheton---same as Gavine

Any comments.

Balta to play back on Ratugolea and when he rucks Balta will.

Balta has trained with backs this week

Besides Hawkins and Ratugolea - the rest of Geelong forwards are smallish

Ablett / Dalihaus / Miers / Atkins / Rohan / Parfait /

No real opponent for Broad and we will go with

Garth / Balta / Grimes / Nick / Houli / Stack / Edwards as our 7 backs

Quite a bit of run there and that is what we need against Geelong

with the injuries

not too bad a side although quite young

VFL side very weak this week

Broad has been terrible, good decision and won't be a bad one even if we are monstered.

Ps I'll put my hand up saying that I have never been a Broad fan

He’s a great photographer but makes a few too many booboos for my liking

Grimes or Nick for Rohan

I hope I am wrong but Rohan MCG form is not great - well playing for the Swans anyway

Rohan is exactly the type who will kick a bag against us. Broad seemed the obvious match up. Not sure now. Sacrificing Vlastuins intercept game would be detrimental for us.
