Changes for the Mundy game

In Soldo, Ryan
Out Gibcus, Miller

Balta plays back on Lobb. Tarrant on Taberner. We will want Grimes on Walters I reckon.
I'd have Ross or MRJ in for Edwards but it won't happen. Ross or MRJ then as the sub. Aarts - never again please.
Not sure about Soldo being in the team.
He is as slow as a wet week, and not the best ruckman going around.

I would agree if Lynch and Dusty were playing. Not sure how we kick enough goals.

Kick straight.

Its not that we aren't creating chances, we are, we just haven't put them away. We should have had consecutive 100+ point scores but butchered it in front of goal. Had we kicked straight the last 2 weeks, we would have scored over 100 points in 8 of our games this season (and 99 in 1 other).

The midfield is where this game will be won. Allow Fyfe, Brayshaw and Serong to win it at will for them and it will be a long evening for us.

Notice some bloke named D Cloke went to Richmond in this draft (41) as well, confusing listed as ex-Richmond
I think that is after he retired with us.
His last game he kicked 8 goals against Carlton and KB was trying to get him reconsider his retirement and play another year.

played well with Ainslie the next year and mid season North Melb. played a "friendly" against the ACT during their bye week
they were top of the ladder or close to it and Ishencko the ruck , he was a huge man
and Cloke made it his mission to beat him , which he did and don't worry , the big bloke was trying
Cloke pulled out every trick in the book to keep him off balance and worked hard around the ground
could he have done that every week ? maybe not

I would give any players in line to be delisted a final run in the seniors just to make sure they have nothing left to offer. Maybe one last chance for RCD, Dow, Martyn and Biggy at some stage. I don't think we need to look at Aarts and Parker again. We know they bring effort but just aren't polished enough to be AFL players. The season has gone the same way as last year. I don't think we win again this year now.

I think Cotch and Jack have earned the right to go on if they want to. Titch as sad as it is and he has been a club legend should get to 300 and then retire. He is a complete liability defensively now. Lambo's hip looks like it is unfixable unfourtuantly.

The club got so much so right for a long period. It gets harder to stay at the top. Some things are in your control like recruiting and development and some aren't like Dusty's dad dying and Lambo's hip. I hope we are going to work on the RCD and Dow picks to work out what went wrong and why they just don't have it make AFL players.
Bit tough requesting one last chance for players who were picked on potential and they basically missed two years of development soon after being drafted. I doubt the recruiters expected our current mids to have fallen off the perch as quickly as they have done.

You might be right. Personally I just don't see it with Dow and RCD.

Thanks seven, assumed it must have been when he came back from Collingwood

Yep, 1990 & 1991.
Really struggled up forward when he came back to the club.
KB reinvented him as a ruckman which worked.

Out: Gibcus, Miller, Aarts
In: Ross, Samson, MRJ - Medi Sub.

Balta to play down back where he belongs, with Samson that 2nd ruck / forward.

Ross to add more depth in our midfield. We were too top heavy last week.

Ins: Ross, MJ, Stack (reckon the MC will go Soldo), if so, then Stack will return via the reserves. Parker had 27 disposals and 6 tackles last week, could well be an option, for his speed and pressure.
Outs: Aarts, Gibcus, Edwards

Sub: Edwards (299th game), will then come in for his 300th V Lions

Where‘s Bauer at. i thought we’d use mid season draft for needs base and not future development.
