Not too sure where else to post this but for those car lovers out there here's something that doesn't happen everyday.

My cousin is looking to purchase a ute for work means. Happened to find one that fit the bill on car sales, arranged a test drive/look with the owner who happens to be none other than Jack Trengove. He was very shocked upon meeting him but assured he was(is) a top bloke!

Anyway the car is a 2011 Holden Ute SV6 Thunder VE Series II...

Looks like he must be upgrading to a Range Rover for the snow season.

Advice please.

I have an old car circa 1976, a few spots of rust have started to appear.
One day in the future I'll have the car resprayed, however in the short term is there anything I can do to restrict the rust spots growing?

Thanks

Sand em back and put rust protector or rust killer on them then just cover it with primer thats short term other wise ya have to cut it out and replace the sheet metal or fill it with fibreglass and resin gets messy.

Thanks Craig,
is there any difference between an auto rust killer and the stuff you use on a tin roof?

Can get it from auto repair places like autobarn or possibly even supercheap.

You sand all the paint off back to bare metal rub out as much rust as you can then clean it down and apply rust killer, dont prime over it straight away directions will be on it then you leve it for a while then clean it up apply, sheet metal patch underneath or inside or fibreglass or fibreglass filler or plastic filler to fill any holes then rub back then can apply some primer filler or primer then rub back then paint.

All depends on the size of the spot and the underlying damage.
