Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

In for certain. Think he would have been in anyway. Had a good write up in the VFL report.

'CJ' is playing at a level above at the moment. He continues to focus on what he can control and is banging the door down for senior selection'

If he doesn't get picked for the firsts this week then he never will be. I just want to see him get the chance of a run in the firsts to see what he can really do. We took the same chance on Soldo and look what he became

Exciting times, going to find out about him.

Yep, and I have been wanting to see what he can do.

But I have to admit, my enthusiasm has taken a bit of a hit of late. Have watched the last few VFL games we have played (admittedly by the generally average streams available), and I have been a tad disappointed with the way he goes about it.

Hopefully just in a little form slump.

So...

Let’s say CJ comes in and averages 2 goals a game and provides solid support to Nank over the next 4-6 weeks.

Most importantly, we start winning consistently.

What happens when Lynch returns?

Dimma has shown time and again that he is willing to keep players in if they perform well. He’ll accomodate the player’s strengths and find a way to make it work for the team.

The problem with Dimma (and it ain’t a hanging offence) is getting that player in for that first game. Now that CJ looms as a necessity if Lynch is out, he might well be getting that golden opportunity to cement himself.

In truth we’ve been stale thus far this year. Sure we like to build slowly but there hasn’t yet been a point of difference you need to stay ahead of the game.

RCD is a fine addition to the midfield ranks, but what if CJ is the structural x-factor we’ve been waiting for?

Lynch out is a bummer and no one wants to see that, but I’m seeing the potential here. If there was ever a moment where we establish base camp for the next Everest climb, it’s the next two weeks before the bye. Exciting times.

I still think we need to go the Chol-CCJ combo but if it’s just CCJ then the point of difference already is he can go into the ruck unlike Lynch.
However a further point of difference would be too also play Chol and work in tandem with CCJ.
And when Nank rucks both these boys become a focal point up forward. This is where we can really shake things up!

So what's your thinking here? CCJ Forward Ruck, Chol Wing Ruck, Nank forward ruck? Who goes to the wing when Chol is rucking? Jack? and our KPF's are then Nank and CCJ? Not having a go BTW, just interested in the tactical logic.

I also want to see a 3rd tall played and not just CJ in for Lynch

Chol / Jack / CJ 3 tall foward setup

All the above mentioned players plus Nank need roughly 10 mins break so thats 40 mins already with 1 of them off the ground

Most likely Caddy + 1 tall comes into the team imo
