Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

Big plus is that Callum finds the ball. Mid to high teens disposals regularly.

Got 13 in his only senior appearance. So he obviously gets to contests.

And laid 5 tackles as well as 10 hit outs.
With his outstanding marking ability, i'd rather him in the side than Chol.

I was quite impressed by some of his work in his debut game in the Dreamtime Game no less big stage to debut.

Acquitted himself quite nicely that night.

Good in the air and quite good below his knees also.

Could become a top Liner.

CCJ is progressing well imo and should definitely be kept on the list to develop further. Will keep improving, particularly with a big pre season.

BTW, Geelong already have 5 ruckmen on their list.

Is he our Smokey for this years finals or have we run out of time now?

Would need to be selected this week, YOTT, if he's to play in September.
Don't think the MC will go for it, unless there is an injury to either Soldo or Chol.
The young fella is showing a lot of promise.

I count 4 Geelong bonafide ruckmen. Stanley, Smith, Fort, Abbott, all 26yo+ yet Blicavs rucked last 2 games. Previous week Smith was smashed by a 21 year old. Before that Stanley smashed by Lycett. Geelong have huge ruck issues atm.

Just going by the words of the Geelong coach who has said on two occasions on AFL 360 that Geelong have 5 ruckmen on their list.

I know he has great hands. Just wondering what is running is like? Does he have the tank and speed to get across the ground to be our more mobile second ruck?
I’m going to suppose he has enough speed or he couldn’t clunk his ripper marks.

But I haven’t noticed if he’s had an impact in the final quarter.

Yeo, and i reckon i heard 1 of them sat out on the weekend cos they couldn't play 4 of them together at VFL level.

From the VFL report:

Callum Coleman-Jones

19 disposals (14 contested possessions), eight marks (five contested), 28 hit-outs, four clearances & one goal

That is a huge game from a 19 year old tall.

Am I the only one concerned that another club might come and offer a godfather deal? He showing amazing progress and is tracking beautifully.

Perfect replacement for Chol IMO.

Well he’s signed until the end of 2021 so yes you are probably on your own.

There's no way the Tigers will let him go.
