Higgins said he had "no idea" how he pulled off the goal but he admitted he took inspiration from Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell.

"I thought of like a cricket catch, over the boundary line and putting it back in," he told 3AW.

"So that's what I thought in the moment, pretty weird, like a Glenn Maxwell sort of thing."

He has invented a new verb, to Glenn Maxwell. As in, Jack Higgins Glenn Maxwelled at great goal on the weekend.

Can’t wait for Cricket season when we read how Virat Kohli almost hit a six but Glenn Maxwell jack Highinsed a wonderful catch on the boundary line.

You could also say he's Maxwell smart.

It was nice of Moore to give his calf a massage after he had kicked the goal. (Check the photo)

:hihi

love that photo evo. mouths agape. players crawling going OMG.

The goal aside thought snags had a good game overall. Some of his quick handballs were shane edwards and nathan foley like. He's a bit of a foley clone in size, stature, running and kicking style. Also puffs the cheeks when handballing.

Would make a great "where's the ball" photo in the paper for the old timers like myself.

I like The Coodabeens version, “Where’d the mo go?”.

I thought exactly the same

Considering he's playing on the ball and doing very well, must be a strong candidate for the NAB Rising Star. Maybe not as spectacular as some of the others in the early rounds such as Stephenson (Coll) and Doedee (Crows) but has built into the season and matching it with the stars in the middle. His ability in traffic is, as others have said, fantastic for someone so early into their career.

Doubt he wins it. It’s an anti Richmond year 2018. Everybody despises the fact we have continued our dominance. Pies are the darling of 2018 - so I expect Stephenson.

Agree.

Can't have Richmond going B2B, getting Lynch, and having the Rising Star.

But two out of three aint bad!

Said it before the personality is overshadowing the production.

Performance wise he is a top 5 pick this year. Numbers stack up against any mid taken in last years draft.

Absolute steal. And I had questions over if he could be a mid. Dead wrong & Bully was right the production was there.

Classic new Richmond thinking, embrace what players can do.

Well said. Our drafting has really improved in the past 3 years.

3 years? 2015 2016 2017?

How about 2014? Butler at #67 then Castagna, Short, Lambert and Soldo in the Rookie draft
