Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Lucky to be in the team.....don’t get me wrong, he will be a great player for us, but he needs to get blooded in the VFL a bit more.....
Regardless of what we hear about team unison etc...no one can tell me that George, Miles, Stengle, Lloyd, and the injured Bolton , aren’t thinking “How the *smile* does he get a game ahead of me?”.....it will wear a bit thin after awhile, and to the detriment of the team......

I don’t think Georgey will be upset about it and of the others , I reckon we’ll keep Stengle for next year.

There's a fair bit of faith being shown. Hopefully repays in spades.

Graham must have photos or be dating Dimmas daughter or both. Been poor alll year and living off the reputation of a game 9mths ago

He hasn't been GF good but every game he plays will help in the long run. These guys are our next generation. Important also that we bring them through.

Higlet was front and square alot last week.

he has really good, intuitive understanding of where the ball is going to be.

dont mind them getting games into him at all.

and yeah, kicked one of the AFL's all-new 0-point goals from 50, which shut a few of us up ;D

Graham's been ok, his defensive pressure stats are out of the roof. Very important even though he's not getting a lot of disposals.

George is injured.
Miles plays a differnet role and has had his chances.
Stengle is a rookie so deserves no more than Higgins.
Bolton injured as you say.
Lloyd should feel lucky he's even on the list, let alone whining about others getting a game before him.

And if those lot did crack the sh!ts - big deal. Hardly list breakers.

Add to that Stengle was hobbling in last VFL game. In reality only George or Stengle are like for like replacements with any form so not a surprise that Higgins is in again this week.

Yeh, I feel the same, he's a very smart footballer, very good at being in the right spots. His footy instincts are great, happy to keep playing him. The composure will come with games.(eg don't reckon he'll butcher one like he did in the last qtr again)

Graham for mine is being educated a defensive mid right now, he is doing his job with the huge pressure and defensive acts he is racking up hence he plays every week even if hes not racking up possessions.

Some players have roles that are judged by other indicators rather than possessions.

Broad and Grimes dont rack up huge numbers either but they do their jobs.

When Graham was let off the leash against the Dockers he racked up numbers and played his best game for the season.

Id rather Jack Graham in the side than Corey Ellis.

Jack has proved he is capable at the level especially on the big stage whereas Corey has proven time and again he is not.

I concur with all this.

Graham is our #1 pressure act player, thats why he stays in the side.

Higgins been alright tonight.

Set up some nice goals and does not shirk a contest.

Good game, bit unlucky with the goals over past few weeks! Been robbed a few times.

Higlet is one tough little *smile*.

he was in everything.

his best work is up the ground, but hes not far off rioli-creative around goal.

I love this bloke.
