How unlucky is this kid to get dropped? A sign of how much the team has improved.

its damn tough getting into the reigning premiers side. and so should it be. boobs is being made to work for his spot as well. That can only make us better as a team.

Was great opportunity for him. He now has experienced the higher level. Will be even better for it when he gets his next opportunity. Will play a lot of games

Not sure if it relates to Higgo being dropped, but there's an article about Supercoach in the Hun with Dimma stating that he got an abusive message from his son....in dropping Higgo?

Anyone able to open the article?

Hardwick unpopular at home after dropping a young Tiger on the rise

Jack Higgins still had a smile on his face even after Damien Hardwick delivered the bad news that he had to make way for returning premiership players Josh Caddy and Dion Prestia just one week after his headline-grabbing debut against Hawthorn.
The coach found delivering the news difficult too and his demeanour wasn't helped either when he received an abusive text message from his son BJ when news of the decision became known.

But such is life when you are a premiership coach with a full, in-form list and two of your most consistent players are available following a stint on the sidelines through injury and suspension.
"It was tough," Hardwick said. "He and Sam Lloyd (who was also omitted) played their roles beautifully last week and we have just got two quality players that are coming back in."
Hardwick said the small forward made things easier by accepting the decision without complaint.
"He still had a smile on his face. I think he appreciated the opportunity last week," Hardwick said.
"He's going to be a really good player that kid."

Hardwick could not find room for Nathan Broad who was available after serving a club-imposed suspension in the first three rounds.
"We'd love to have him in the side. He knows he is a really valued player at our footy club and he will work his way in at some stage."
Hardwick said Broad had won the club's pre-season award as the best trainer over summer.
Meanwhile club CEO Brendon Gale thanked the supporters for their committment after the club signed member number 90,000 on Thursday night.
He conceded he was surprised to reach the mark so soon and remains uncertain as to how many members will eventually join the club.

Richmond premiership star Shaun Grigg described the support that his club enjoys as “unbelievable”.
“The Tiger army just give us such a lift,” Grigg told SEN on Friday.
“And as we all saw throughout the finals last year it was just another world. The first final against Geelong and then the prelim - I don’t think you’ll see another game like that anytime soon.”
Nearly 95,000 fans attended Richmond’s preliminary final against GWS last year, with the overwhelming majority supporting the Tigers in an unprecedented show of support for one side.

Good to seee Nathan Broad win the pre season award as the best trainer, showed he was serious about it all after the post GF Rackgate.

Sooner he is back the better for the defensive unit.

Thanks FF. Not much mention about what his son did or said. Was it 'abusive'? No dinner for BJ tonight. ;D

You'll get an idea about how it was done if you watch the video "Footy Feed" on the site that shall not be named. Article is titled "Why Dimma's son sent him abusive message".

Nothing different Yin. Looks like Dimma's just joking a bit.
