I remember mid last year we were discussing Higgins and both you and i were saying 'If Only' but no way he will slip to us as he was touted as a top 5-10
With Balta/Higgins/Naish we really lucked out

I still like CCJ and know you were not a big fan but 2017 draft may be a draft we remember specially if Miller continue's his very good development

Loved our draft, would have been over the moon if we kept our original picks and grabbed the same players. CCJ is a bonus in my opinion, still believe he's more third round to rookie but he's a freebie as far as I'm concerned.

Simply cannot fault Clarke's selections in the top job, as good as FJ 2006-2009.

The most baffling selection for me was our Rookie selection of Liam Baker , Really a long shot to make it and certainly a surplus to needs,A player like Nathan Kreuger would have made alot more sense but i suppose thats why they get paid for doing this job and we just post about it on a forum ::) ??? :-X
 
his first goal was notable for outmarking mcevoy - read the drop quicker than anyone else, unconstested mark surrounded by 4 hawks - and then reacts first to the calls of touched.
fast reaction, switched on. well deserved goal

As Matt Clarke said @ Club80, they had about 20 players in mind for that rookie spot & Bakes was the most talented by a fair margin

Went to a cafe to grab lunch and the guy in front of me was paying.
He then stopped and said "sorry, I'm a little short"
Me "that's what she said!" out loud
Him and the cashier turned at looked at me.
"By 2cm!"

God I laughed.
Don't think he got it
Cashier giggled.

Baker was a surprise selection for me too, Stefan Giro was the standout candidate for me.
 
Big wraps from our captain today. Interesting to read he slept at the club overnight before the game. That's how dedicated he is.
 
Just what the club needs after an average start to the year.

Hopefully his enthusiasm rubs off on the others.
