We got Jack Higgins with pick 17, and he won't be with us in 21.I have no doubts that the player we grab with Pick 17 won't be around until Pick 21.

It's a good result. Add three premierships to that and hard to top!Our last 10 years of first rounders,
2010 Conca 6... gone
2011 Ellis 15....tick
2012 BigV... massive tick
2013 lennon...fail
2014 little Ellis....fail
2015 Rioli...Tick
2016 2nd rounder Bolton... massive tick
2017 Higgins....Seeya
2018 CD....... No games
2019 Dow.... 1 games (too early)
Spooky! We got Jack Higgins with pick 17, and he won't be with us in 21.
Agree. I reckon we should have got more and I'm a little annoyed we've given the Saints a leg up 2 years in a row.Im not going to lose any sleep over it ,
When you have a surplus of riches , I guess some might slip through the cracks,
Im still on a high from winning 3 premierships anyway , this isnt spoiling my day
Hope Grimey, Vlastuin and Bakes give him a game to remember, for all the wrong reasons, when we play them next year. Want to see him get a real torrid time.
Think he was a Saints supporter as a kidI cant remember a trade like this ever.
3rd year high draft pick.
Wants to leave despite a contract to the club he supported as a kid.
It doesn't sit well with my opinion of him.
GWS are into Jack Ross
His time is coming, he is next in line ahead of Riley Hyphen and Dowy at the minute also was ahead of Higgins.I saw Jack Ross training at Punt Road by himself earlier this week, dedicated young man, enough already not going anywhere, (i hope).
Wash your mouth out.Not too fussed tbh.
We wont really miss him on field, off field he was popular so he will be missed around the rooms but we've won 3 flags without him playing in any of em, and have him covered by others.
That #13 Guernsey dead set needs to be burned.
I would have traded Higlet last year, but we couldn't because brain thing. Cost us Butler. So we stood by him and extended his contract. Now he wants to leave for more opportunity but only to one particular side, limiting our options and ultimately our return on investment.
I won't boo him but I won't tell anyone who does to shut up.
Always struck me as a strange selection for us. Didn't fit the mould of high pace, elite endurance.
LOLWash your mouth out.
Robbie Powell and Phil Egan

AgreedContracted, young first rounder going for not much.
Not happy with this but I also don’t see Higgins being quick enough to pull off what we *smile* did to *smile* Geelong.
And if we got someone in mind at 17 who CAN do that, I’m good.
