Yep. Considering his poor season for whatever reason the amount of focus on him is a backhanded compliment. Normally someone with that kind of lead up would largely be ignored. The focus indicates to me people know how dangerous Lids can potentially be.
I won't go out of my way to boo Lids. Long time champion of the club and his departure has been good for us, so I find it hard to hold a grudge against him.

That kind of supports my feeling about the effectiveness of bulk booing. I recall reading a player saying once how they used it to their advantage. All about mindset. They chose to take it as goooo or some kind of encouragement and worked it to their advantage. The effectiveness depends on the mindset. I'd be surprised if a quality opposition coach didn't expect this and tackle it head on. I reckon Leon will be on to it. Really interested to see how evident/effective gratuitous booing is. I would imagine deafening roars for our own team would be way more effective. Time will tell how it pans out.

It's all ok to boo Lids, and the rest of the GWS plastics.....
But cheering and roaring for our boys at every opportunity,....every goal, every point, every free, every tackle, every piece of play, every rotation............will be far more effective for not only firing our team up, but shooting the GWS down
