Brandon Ellis

Tiger Premiership player for ever.

By all accounts his raw first up account in the famed Triple H sessions, that created the unbreakable bond between the team in 2017 , set the tone for everyone else.

There are players who leave the Tigers and aren't liked but not Brando. Still loved by Tiger fans when he went to the suns.

Well played Brando

And his great relationship with his former teammates always remained. Whenever we played them at the end of the game, there was still a sense of that camaraderie between teammates.
As you said Sin, still loved and respected by Tiger fans and his former teammates. That’s not always the case.

Even to the point that Cotch went to watch his 300th down at Marvel on the same day the Tiges were playing. Had Brando over to his house after to play with his kids.

Seems a great bloke, and certainly didn't leave with any animosity on either side.

Its a shame that he is retiring immediately and doesn't play against us at the G last game of the season but I suppose they are still potentially in the race for finals (but probably not for much longer). I hope he comes down for it, and gets a lap of honour with the likes of Grimes etc who will also retire this year. Could be an emotional last game of the year with those retirements and potentially Dusty's final game for the club.

Went the the first game up there this year.
Some of our players made a B line for Brando pre-game(1hr before game).
Quite the opposite too Higgins post game.

I don’t think we realised how good Brandon was for us until he left.
Great gut runner who never stopped running up & down the wings.

Well played Brandon.

Why is he retiring? Only 30 years of age. There was some mention of injury in the articles I read but nothing detailed.

Anyway congratulations on your career Brando. Dual premiership Tiger.

in 2022 my eldest was on the GC at the same as a Tigers game
the night before the game his wives extended family went for a walk on the beach
and coming the other way was Dusty & BEllis deep in conversation
the was a handful of Tigers about 10 mtrs behind
he got a high 5 from Dusty
to recognise at a game is nice and does say something
but taking time out to go and meet up somewhere says alot ... both ways

Well done Brando. Should've stayed a Tiger. It was nothing but a holiday at the Huns.

Funny how the media keep referring to him as "two-time premiership Tiger"......hah hah.....the Huns.....hah hah.

They usually only refer to “former Richmond player” if they’re in trouble with the law.
This is a nice change :giggle:

Congratulations on a great career Brando. Tiger champion who'll never be forgotten.

West Coburg will give you a call, I'm sure they'd love to see you back there.

P.S: entertaining thread to read the first few pages. Thank God we got you and not Elliot Kavanagh!

We couldn’t pay him what he deserved and stay under the cap. Loved Brando.
