Rumoured to have accepted a 4 year deal at $500K per year at Carlton.
The good news is that might net us a late first round pick.
Geez I'd accept that too if I were him. 4 years? Crazy.

Always better when there is more than one bidder, push his price up.Carton & Essendon circling. Think he’s gone.
And it's a good get by Carlton. They need core footballers who lift training standards. If they snag Ellis and Conoglio it's an outstanding off season. And good on Brando. Good Tiger man, loyal servant. And two first round picks would make our trade time very interesting.
Not sure 500K for 4 years will net us a first rounder under the AFLs made up on the run compensation policy.
If we ended up with two first rounders, I can almost guarantee you, one will be traded. And it's a good get by Carlton. They need core footballers who lift training standards. Ellis was always going to get a reasonable offer as a premiership and regular AFL player in a year where there's really not a lot up for grabs in the free agency bucket. We can cover him so hopefully we'll be able to maximise our return.
