Come to think of it, he did mention something about a sleazy old man in an overcoat hanging around.

My all time fave, and the album I keep going back too is "Above" by Mad Season.

They're abit of a super group, featuring Layne Staley (RIP) from Alice in Chains, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, and Barret Martin from the Screaming Trees.
Mark Lanegan, also from Screaming Trees does vocals on a couple of songs.
It is way cool.

Haven't mentioned all my metal albums yet.

I have boxes of vinyl and way too many cds to mention.
That Mandingo record I grew up with from the early 70s .
A pearler record. It was a quadraphonic record too.We had a Technics quad system back then.
Most stores I remember used to thrash this album because it would sell stereos.

Another track from it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejs-XkPwE4k
It was from 1973!

P.S . late addition: Spirit-Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus.
This album is fast approaching my top ten albums of all time,it's that good.

It's so bloody good.

That's where I stop as well.

But no self-titled to start...? Run By Night, Surfing with a Spoon, Powderworks... A ridiculously good debut album.

Good to see a few Tubes fans in here.

I was introduced to them in the 80s by bassist Gavin Carroll who played with Lobby Loyde and Coloured Balls and in a cover band with me lol.

My fav Tubes albums are their first and Young And Rich.

An awesome live performance from 1979.

To me the new Soundgarden CD is a wistful attempt to recapture the magic of Badmotorfinger. It's not bad but a pale imitation of a time long since past.
I think I'll refer to my memories of that brilliant album.
