I think they are just resting some of the young fellas for a good crack at the finals.

Being sub last week didn't do McCintosh any harm .... He played a ripper today! :clap

I think you are right, it was a rotation thing on the bench. McIntosh has done it twice in the last 7 or 8 weeks, Lloyds done it too. I would expect another rotation into the sub next week, maybe even Newman as he probably needs a bit of a rest, he was cramping a lot this week.

Lennon clearly has talent and looked good when he came on. We shouldn't make o much about his contract situation, Grigg and Grimes also haven;t signed yet but I expect both will as well.

Stop the negative vibes about Lennon! He will stay as he knows he has more chance of making it big at the Tigers than Carlton

Hope you're right, he's showing some pure class and confidence. You're right too, his profile will be much better if he stays at Richmond. One only has to look at the media's love for Brett Deledio now, when he's been brilliant his entire career.

Winners are all champions and losers are full of flaws. Both ends of the spectrum are exaggerated.

Good story

And then read on

"EMOTIONAL HARDWICK AT A LOSS

They sit in 16th position and are arguably the worst team in the competition behind an injury-ravaged Brisbane.

It’s a stunning fall for a team that won 15 games last year and for a coach who was given a contract extension until the end of the 2016 season.

Question marks hang over Punt Rd as dark and foreboding as a London pea souper, and it’s not so much about the team, but the individuals."

I'm glad we climbed out of that hole and got back to back camp.
And we are 100m from base camp again.

Get there, and then go for the summit.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

It's good resource management by the club. He'll start on the ground next week. I know there's this Carlton rumour, but he has the opportunity to be part of something huge at Richmond, whereas at Carlton he'll get a nice pay cheque, but will be unlikely to be part of anything good until very late in his career.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Why would anyone want to go to Carlton right now? They're all trying to get out.

Yeah, hence they are throwing big money at any young player who'll take it. Dunno whether Ben's been approached or not but reckon he'll stay. Regular finals and a chance at a flag must be enticing.

That goal that Ben got on Saturday was a ripper, he has got a touch of class.

same, was probably my favourite goal. shows such confidence in his ability

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

What's most impressive is he doing what he is doing in 65% game time.

Really impressed with his composure, decision making & foot skills. The lack of pace isn't a issue as long as he keeps this traits. Real weapon of the future, I'd pencil him in for 20-25 goals next year.

Glad he kicked it he absolutely burnt lids on the handball .
Skill is the least of his problems defensive side is has to be his focus and fitness .

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Very worrying to have the lad not resigned so late in the year

Sad too to again see him with the sub vest

Since he returned to the team he has been subbed out once and started as sub once.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Would say plenty about his mindset if he decides to leave.
That said must have been very frustrating early in the season when Morris was being played forward.

Looks to have a bit of figjam about him
Most players have a bit of figgy about them, it goes with the territory. As long as he works n plays within the team ethics there's no problem, doesn't hurt either if he has enough swagger to take the game on n finish off as well rather than always looking for someone else.

yep. faith in your own ability to help the team. that kind of confidence... breeds confidence.
