In time I am sure Lennon will be spared much of the vile invective because he will be a welcome addition to the team.

I'm pretty sure that fate is reserved for McBean.

Fair call, mld. Silly of me to even consider such things, particularly when there is the untouchable one in the wings.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Maybe then Lennon could sit at the right hand (or should that be the left) of the great McBean.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

On the plane to Brisbane. Part of a squad of 25.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Hoping he gets a start in the final 22, most likely as sub.
Would be a great opportunity to give him a taste of the big time.
Might even provide a surprise or two.
Nothing to lose, in my opinion, by giving him a game before a couple of others in the named team tonight.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

i reckon for a few of our new draftees, we like to expose them to interstate travel and the routine before their debut.
so could be close but taken him up as an emergency for the experience of the travel....
they seemed to have done it with vlastuin last year also prior to his debut..

Could well be right, Peggles. But, geez, I wouldn't mind seeing him getting the opportunity either.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

28 touches, 16 marks for coburg today playing off half back.

Straight swap for Thomas next week, thanks.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

sweet liam mcbean, is this true? the domination of Haw- our *smile* - thorn is the purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect debut for passionfruit icing.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Would be keen to see Lennon make his debut, but not sure Dimma will be that keen to elevate him for his first-up AFL game against Hawthorn.

true, it would be a good chance to debut him in an easy win in preparation for the challenge against the cats a week later.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

If Thomas does not come up it might be worth trying him as the sub and depending how the game against hawthorn unfolds he could come in on a wing and play a game like Grigg (i.e finding space and don't venture inside). In fact I think if I was Grigg I would be very worried that my spot would be up for grabs with a player like Lennon on the list.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

After today's absolute shocker against the Hawks, surely Lennon gets to make his debut next week against the Cats.
(On a side note, I wouldn't mind a new game plan making a debut next week either.)

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Got a feeling they will wait till after the bye. Debut him against the dees with big ivy lids and rance in the team beside him.

That'd make more sense, no point in debuting him against a fired up Geelong. That could scar him for life.
