Been to a good gig lately/Concerts [Merged]

Bluesfest in two weeks. Elvis Costello, Counting Crows, Joe Bonamassa, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, St Paul & the Broken Bones, Nathanial Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Beck, Buddy Guy, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Tash Sultana, The Black Sorrows, Ash Grunwald, The Doobie Brothers, Cat Empire, and so many more. The best week of music in the country. Can't wait.
Take time out from your busy work schedule Spook to see Christone Ingram on Friday or Saturday. Was the highlight for me last year.

Megadeth were amazing. One of the best sounding gigs I’ve ever heard. Dave Mustaine 61 and still shredding! What a legend!
Absolutely! Megadeth are in my top 3 bands. They were very tight and professional.

Great tip, Mops. Virtuoso player, had me wondering if his mum knew BB King.

Marcus King, 19-twenty, Southern Avenue all great acts I've seen today. Saw a bit of Tex Perkins and Matt Walker last night, Larkin Poe were good too.

Such good music.

Wanted to see St Paul and the Broken Bones and Marcus King this week, but comedy festival and work made it tough. By all accounts they ripped up the Northcote Theatre, which I really like is turning into a nice little venue again

I went to Nothing But Thieves at the Forum last night (English rock band). If you are not familiar with them then track them down and you won't be disappointed.

Saw Janes Addiction and Smashing Punpkins last Thursday at the port melbourne sheds.
Odd venue.

No one will be surprised that it went too long with too much noodling and very decent guitar playing. Some great songs though

Lucky enough to see Aussie guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel last night at Hamer Hall. Took my young fella who’s a keen guitarist & idolises the guy. He was not disappointed. Tommy was absolutely incredible. He pushes the instrument to its absolute limits.
Great gig.

I saw Bruce Springsteen live for the umpteenth time last night. Finally starting to show his 73 years. First time I have ever seen a concert of his that went less than three hours (2:55). Not up to as much of his antics as he used to be but still very good and no-one seems to enjoy himself on stage as much as he does. The line up of songs he did NOT do highlights how much good stuff he has ... Thunder Road, The River, Born in the USA, Hungry Heart. But he found time for Born to Run and Badlands so all good. The acoustics at the biggest venue in Copenhagen (the main soccer ground, MCG equivalent but not as big. 50,000+) are still as bad as ever.
