Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Thought he really struggled early....but worked into the game nicely in the second half.

Yeah, a few errors when he was working himself into the game in the first half. He'll be better for the run.

That clanger when he dropped a simple mark - seems like it may have been sun in the eyes which actually caused a number of other clangers as well.

Today was the first time I saw Bachar kick with his right foot, a 40m pass across the half back that hit the target. I stood up and applauded the kick. I think a few of those around me must have been wondering what had happened. As for Bachar, he had a decent game today, could have been better but a pretty good effort.

Thought it was a very solid return. Was great to see him back out there.

He has improved out of sight. From a typical gutless essendon jib too a very confident and reliable player.
His only blemish yesterday was when the sun affected him going for the ball.
I like him

Noted players from both teams hesitate when looking towards Mcc members from centre square.

Another good game yesterday. With Martin, Jackson and perhaps Cotchin, one of our most consistent performers for the season. Earned some praise from Brereton, whereas last week Roos went out of his way to pot him for some unknown reason, when Houli barely put a foot wrong.

Our best chance for AA representation. I expect to see his name in the squad.

I gave him a vote. How would you be leading to those tracer bullets? The pass to Jack late in the first was magnificent. And he's so reliable on the ball now; cannot be accused of being a cat these days.

Noticed a few times over the last couple of years that he has very reliable hands when the weather is bad. Again yesterday

Defensive work is underrated by many. Improved this side of his game tremendously.

Don't thinm it's ever been a huge issue personally. As a play-maker in the backline it's often a fine line between running off your man and getting caught by a turnover. The more you can get the ball into Houli's hands running out of the backline the more forward line opportunities you will get.

Love it when this guy has the ball in his hands.
