Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Reckon the club have bent over backwards assisting Bachar in setting up his foundation and he just doesn't strike me as the sort of person who would leave the environment of inclusiveness we've created.....
However, I suppose he could take a punt on the mini richmond clone out by Tulla!

Bolton and Ellis putting their contract talks on hold probably isn't helping Bachar's contract.

The impression I am getting is Houli has an offer from Richmond but is not happy with the $.

We have players in the two's that can fill his role.

Our Salary cap is tight so it is up to Houli to accept what we can afford or look elsewhere.

Saw the AA awards today and in the interview he gave a very clear indication he is looking at his options elsewhere should he not be signed.

Not really understanding our logic on this one.

If that's the case - I don't really understand Bachar's logic.

I think it's a case of him wanting a deal and feeling like he should have one by now.

Made up his mind to play on and probably feels a little disrespected that a contract hasn't come yet.

Yes well his value (contract) should if any, go up given the year he has had and now an AA jacket as proof.

Hope he stays

He's
Yes it would but funnier things have happened. Has had soft tissue injuries the past two years & turns 32 years old next season.
Tough calls get made these days by football clubs on aging players.

He's not going anywhere. Lock for next year. How old is Simpson at Carlton now? Ablett? Hodge? If you're performing to the level Houli has this year age will not be a determining factor.

Hope he stays too but not on any increased money
His AA might support a pay rise but it’s negated by his age and limited longevity.
Salary cap money needs to be allocated to the blokes who must be there to take over from him - probably to be phased in next year but almost certainly in 2021

Bachar should appreciate the opportunity to extend his career at a Club which had fully embraced his off ground career as well with his Foundation

It would be an awful look if he seriously contemplated another club.

Collingwood dropped Leon Davis from the GF replay side in his AA year.

He did have 6 and 8 disposals in his 2 prior games. And he did play the following year and played in the grand final where he had 20 disposals and 11 tackles. Houli is not being dropped for finals and he is not going to be retired by the Tigers,

Ike I said the 2nd player to be delisted.
How the flk was Leon Davis ever a AA. He was David Copperfield in finals.

2011 3 finals Leon had 33, 23 and 20 disposals. Pretty good player was Leon. But yeah not sure he was AA class. Must have been another AFL favour to Eddie.
