He's an elite runner, he played his role. I don't expect him to make crucial tackles/spoils/plays. Just provide an outlet with his overlap run.

I think this statement sums up why I get so frustrated at the constant criticism of Bachar. And Kamdyn McIntosh for that matter. He played his role. We can't have 18 Dusty's on the park. It doesn't work. Look at GWS. You need role players and Bachar usually plays his well.

What exactly was Kamdyn's role IYO? He's no longer playing in defence (Broad usurped him there), he's fortunate Grigg is our relief ruckman meaning the wing is open for McIntosh. It's his only spot, given his limitations in defence and his lack of overhead ability. Lucky he can run.

He's on shaky ground, plenty of guys pushing for a spot.

Bachar was good, reckon it was his hardest most composed finals performance.

Hope that gives him belief that he can handle the physicality and pressure.

yep. played well. except that kick that went 15 mtrs up and 5 metres backward. that wasnt do good!

Been a critic of the Great Houli over the years but yesterday he rose to the occasion & look forward to a big contribution from him next Saturday at THE G.

I wonder if some home truths were told to Bachar over the summer because he has changed his game after six seasons of short stepping.

This season he has put his head over hard balls and added a harder edge to his game.

Occasionally he reverts to type but his general overall game this year has been a big improvement.
