I can only see this working as an under 13 comp to appease the soccer mums and promote ball movement, and as an over 35 social comp for unfit old cripples who want to relive their glory days.

Andrew Demetriou on SEN, has stated that the AFL is considering playing another AFLX in the Bye between the final round of the home and away and the first week of finals between the bottom 6 teams. The loser to get the first draft pick. The winner #6

Melbourne have already inquired as to wether the AFL would throw in a priority pick as well, while Carlton have inquired as to what the situation is if another team other than themselves doesn't score in any of the games!

Yes certainly Crows fans will be delighted 10 more players turned up tonight than was the case for the GF.
