Yes, and a lot of injuries in AFL are innocuous - see Mitchell's and all the others in practice or training drills thus far. If Jack or one of our other players are injured in AFLX, they are not even representing RFC, just some mickey mouse fantasy team in this meaningless gimmick game aimed at getting AFLCorp some (useless) profile over summer.

Complete waste of time; nothing to be gained. Will be livid if we cop an injury out of this. What does it tell you when so many players are pulling out or no-shows? Clubs over-ruling them ... wisely.

It's a dead duck already.

[Hey! I've got an even better idea for an exciting, novel AFL precursor competition. How about AFLX polo!!]

Any play who can’t or refuses to play AFLX should be forced to sit out the first 3 weeks of AFL.
The players are ruining this game

Any player who refuses to play AFLX deserves to start the year with bonus Brownlow votes

:rofl
That's Gill the Dill dressed as the mascot giving away free tickets.

Apparently instead of a toss of the coin, there will be a game of 'rock, paper, scissors" to decide kicking ends.

:rofl :rofl :rofl

I saw this post a few days ago and had a chuckle thinking PT was being funny and I thought to myself "haha I wouldn't put it past this circus"

Then today I see an article on the AFL site which confirms they are in fact doing rock, paper, scissors instead of a coin toss. :shakehead

Any credibility this spectacle had is now gone in my eyes.

Thought they were promoting this series as some fancy new millenial juvenile instant gratification thingy. Does any kiddie out there comprehend the old fart concept of rock paper scissors? They'll all have to dig their iphones out n google the farking thing to figure out what's going on.

Rance's arrival to the game will take some beating anywhere in the world! :rofl

On the train on the way home to watch it after watching the Aussie ladies 1st innings and the 1st 20 overs of the Kiwis, what was he wearing?

It is a bit better than I thought it would be.

Quite good fun in fact, and the guys seem to be enjoying themselves.

At least Rampage won the first game as well.
