AFL360

Watching the last AFL 360 was a stunning experience. Like many others I'd given up on it, partly due to Robbo's incoherent monologues and partly due to the negativity toward the RFC.

The RFC story is undeniably a remarkable one, the culture of the club is the envy of any sporting organisation in the world, the strategy, system and performance is outstanding...however instead of focusing on these positives, every week this show (like most of the media) looked to amplify any tiny negative they could find.

It was disgraceful, irresponsible to the players involved and frankly unwatchable 'journalism'.

Then just like all that never happened, in this GF review show they became civilised intelligent people and called out the bleeding obvious - that the RFC is special and what we are all watching is special. It was balanced, authentic, refreshing, enjoyable and... exactly what the media should be doing.

Why can't these media flogs understand there is enough negativity in the world and that we simply refuse to watch when they decided that social media style trolling and hate mongering is the best format?

The positive tone and honesty of that final AFL 360 episode should be what they take forward...but I'm not hopeful.

Im loving that media etc has to be positive about our great club. They now have no asterisks like only played at mcg, interstate opponents yadda yadda.

The GF edition is the only 360 episode I‘ve watched each year since 2018.

Ditto!
Recorded and watched it (and also On the Couch) so I could fast forward thru the ads and any adulation of the “the little master”

yeah rarely watch it but watched a replay on Kayo last night - it was good, particularly the interview with Dimma whom I thought looked a bit guarded - I don’t reckon he likes these flogs for what they have put the club through this year or he is just exhausted as he said.

Absolutely agree! The sad thing about the media is they are completely unaware, or just don't care, about their responsibilities to society. They have the ability to sway public opinion on any topic, from any sphere, and when they do wrong, they trot out the line that irks me the most "it's what the public wants".

Or It's in the "Public Interest". What, it's in the public interest to spread lies, innuendo & bulldust.

Give me a break.

It was a great episode, very very well put together. The montages were very emotional. It's easier to be positive now, as that's the "click bait" narrative after a grand final win. People don't focus in negatives after the final game of the year.

Also big kudos to Gerard Whately on his call of Dusty's last goal, was the best of the lot I thought. Must have been tough for him as a cats supporter not to be feeling pretty flat at that stage. Showed more professionalism than Bruce

Can you watch AFL 360 on KAyo?
What about after the fact?

I'd sign up to a free subscription to Kayo to watch it if I could heheh.

I will catch up with these shows but haven't as yet. Look forward to hearing Blobbo and Whately finally give our club the full credit it deserves.
However, I think you are naive to think all the hate and resentment has disappeared.

Think who would have been at least 75-80% of the audience now. They are not stupid. We won our 13th flag. Fact. Undeniable. We proved we are the best; no qualifications; no excuses for the other 17 clubs. The best in the toughest year ever over the last 75 at least.

I'm too cynical/or wise to believe it represents a lasting re-positioning to a favourable outlook on RFC that will last very long. I predict Blobbo especially will turn on us as soon as he can find some crap to throw.

They ALL will.
They will just sit & wait.

Too bad they would have lost most of their Richmond supporter viewers by the time last night's episode rolled around.

Ordinarily I would have watched it but I have been put off by their constant negativity throughout the season.

Yes, they are not that savvy overall, especially when we are the greatest sporting team in Oz.

I signed up to Kayo - it’s not to bad and a lot cheaper than Fox.

They have access to 360, On the Couch etc and the other Fox footy shows which I didn’t realise when I signed up.

Its a good way to test it with a trial.

King kills me. He said he Can’t understand why no one is copying us.
this coming from the same guy that doesn’t rate us or picked us to win a grand final.

I signed up, then ditched it after a couple of months when I realised they were offering a cheaper deal if you’re a Telstra customer, then rejoined at the cheaper rate.

While watching On The Couch it struck me yet again that Nick Riewoldt is the only one who comes close to understanding what we do as a team.

Collingwood tried to do a carbon copy of us in 2018 but it didn’t work. They are not us.
