Watching the last AFL 360 was a stunning experience. Like many others I'd given up on it, partly due to Robbo's incoherent monologues and partly due to the negativity toward the RFC.
The RFC story is undeniably a remarkable one, the culture of the club is the envy of any sporting organisation in the world, the strategy, system and performance is outstanding...however instead of focusing on these positives, every week this show (like most of the media) looked to amplify any tiny negative they could find.
It was disgraceful, irresponsible to the players involved and frankly unwatchable 'journalism'.
Then just like all that never happened, in this GF review show they became civilised intelligent people and called out the bleeding obvious - that the RFC is special and what we are all watching is special. It was balanced, authentic, refreshing, enjoyable and... exactly what the media should be doing.
Why can't these media flogs understand there is enough negativity in the world and that we simply refuse to watch when they decided that social media style trolling and hate mongering is the best format?
The positive tone and honesty of that final AFL 360 episode should be what they take forward...but I'm not hopeful.
