Bob Geldoff was talking the other night in a cracking interview on lateline about freud, darwin and marx framing and guiding generations through the 20th century. He reckoned these types havnt revealed themselves yet, but they will come and theylle give 21st century generations some guidance.
Hopefully one can come along and guide that filthy looking animal to the nearest shower.

Thanks Tot!

Ive hand picked each of my investment options and work for financial planners which helps! I went 50/50 because of the current markets but because of my age some growths assets are generally good to have. :)

nice work TT. My real estate model was 1. stretch yourself with a mortgage as soon as the bank will give it to you. A mortgage becomes 2nd nature, compulsory saving o top of your capital growth (which aint what it used to be). 2. buy the poorestly presented but solid house you can find in a good spot, the old worst house in the best street is sound wisdom. (i.e. a nice brick house 10 kms from town with busted windows, head high grass and graffiti o the front fence. A couple of weekends work for about $30K!)

Problem today for the gen y guys is all the built or the designed in obsolescence.
Stuff that was once a major purchase like a car or a lawn mower is now something you have for 3 years and then its gotta be changed. Ipads, Phones, Barbecues. Everything is designed to be replaced at a specific life span.

Plus the plethora of junky american tv, has taught everyone to be a consumer. In my day, Are you Being Served didnt make you want to go out and buy a pair of Jimmy Choos.

Im rabbiting, probably as ive just worked 17 hours down pit and returned to the shoebox...., damn luxury
