3 things I learnt (Rich vs GC)

1 our depth isnt what we thought it was.
2 midfielders need to lower eyes and not handball when they can kick .
3 we are not fast enough.
Agree with those sentiments.
At the moment we could not win a chook raffle.
Whatever happened to our game plan?
This not how we played in our premiership years.
Now, we just roost it long and hope for the best.
As you said our depth is not as good as we were led to believe.
Not one of the "newbies" or those who have played a game or two impressed by any stretch of the imagination.
Who will put money on us to beat the Maggies next game?

I don’t for a second think we can’t bounce back next year , however I can’t remember us playing so bad 2 weeks in a row . The worries for me , the legends are looking slow, the unbeatable game plan is struggling with all the analysis of it over recent years , I’m more then ever of the belief Georgie and Aarts can’t play in the same forward half , even in the modern game you need class there. Our Cubs really don’t look like they will become the much needed A grade talent to win Premierships , obviously not all have to be but you need some . Bolton is playing as impact player , not playing good consistent games , Chol just doesn’t compete enough , this long in the system against fill ins , could have should have dominated if the work rate was there , Shorty is not impacting at all , kick ins are so predictable, for the 1000th time I know what Pickett ads but geez he ads some crap as well , the biggest issue right now other then injuries is the spark ain’t there and Cubs are not taking there chances , As a supporter I’m nowhere near as invested since 2017 , it has to have a similar effect on the boys ,anyway that’s my 3 :))

Three Premierships ease a lot of pain.
The club will not kid itself that it is still in the window any longer now.
The next era will begin next season.

4. when your wife wants to discuss switching electricity providers during the 4th quarter of a real time dramatic dynastically demise, rather than say 'I actually couldn't give a *smile* who we buy our *smile* electricity off right now', look her in the eye, and discuss electricity provider options.

Some of our successful period was about players who enjoyed playing together and were able to work off each other. You needed them all to make it work. George is at his best when Rioli is in the team. But a fit, mobile Rioli. They work in combination. They run for each other and are able to beat defensive efforts because its hard to account for both of them in a passage of play. It makes us look quicker then we are. Add in Bolton and it's like a square law. It is the ball that is moving quickly, not necessarily the players. (Where has all of our game-changing forward handball gone?) Pickett needs to find his George. He gets himself in trouble when he tries to be Shedda. He has cat-like reflexes and can get through traffic with his lithe agile movements making him appear seriously quick (and he is quick). But he needs a foil, someone who he use for those 1-2 plays. The second he thinks he can do it all by himself and pull off a Shedda handpass it all turns to *smile*.

The one thing I learnt from the game is we have Grimes, Vlaustin, Baker, Pickett, Lynch and Bolton who are worthy of a senior game. The rest are not worthy to pull on the jumper. We won’t beat anyone with 6 players and 14 duds in the team.

1 -- 3 flags in 4 years
2 -- I'm not a saints supporter 1 flag in 100 + years
3 -- I'm not a doggies supporter 2 flags in almost 100 years
4 -- not a Fitzroy supporter ( no longer exist)

1. Some of our legends are showing their age.
2. A proper pre season will do us wonders.
3. We either have ageing legends or kids that aren't ready. Not a lot of depth in between.

1. I want Touk Miller, he and Cholly already have a connection. Every time Chol got the tap, Miller streamed forward. Was a thing of beauty.
2. I want the other CJ at Richmond. Young and so much upside, so athletic and need I say it, a HUGE Tiger fan. I wouldn’t think it would cost a lot to get him.
3. I want this season to fall over and be cancelled …… reset for next year still as reigning champions.
