2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

Bauer running laps, no sign of Fawcett, Gibcus on crutches
Based on what Fawcett said 2 weeks ago he's still 2 weeks away from running. I'd expect too see him on the track after the Anzac Eve game.

Training Today Wednesday:

Dow & McAuliffe not out here in any capacity today, hopefully just staying off their feet in an attempt to train Friday?
Juddy, Grimes and Bakes out there, (**Bake's didn't train last week with left knee issue, heavily strapped today but moving ok).
1st appearance of Hopper in rehab since knee surgery.
Thanks caesar, has Trezise started running?

I imagine McAuliffe will have a couple of weeks off, even if it's just a sprained ankle (which it looks like it is).

Sprains might be minor, but they really hurt, and there's no point risking him uneccesarily.

I've done 3 ACL injuries, and a sprained ankle felt worse than any of them.

I imagine that McAuliffe will play unless his injury is worse than first reported. Ooze said he was fine and went back on. Like Caesar said perhaps staying off his feet and come Friday will train.

Why though?

Playing on a rolled ankle is a good way to injure something else. Give him time to recover.

Louie is on to it ;)

True but if he's not right then he doesn't play simple but if he's right then no doubt he'll be named tomorrow but the final team 5pm on Friday.

Oh and Nick Daffy was there watching his 15 year old son train with the main group. His son is about a foot shorter than MJ & Steely and weighs about 20kg o_O

Lucky he's only 15 then n not 18 already. Got some time for a bit of fertiliser n weights room to kick in before his draft year.

Everyone seems obsessed with size, while their ability and hardness appears secondary.
If you’re on the rack long enough, you’ll develop some hardness.
Ability is over rated. 90% of afl players are *smile* kicks, drop marks, can’t handball, miss easy goals.
We’ve even had (triple) premiership players as a prime example

Well some ability would be handy. We’ll build an ability room as well.

Yep. I’d always choose to draft a natural footballer over an athlete. McAuliffe looks a natural footballer to me and we got him at pick 40, good business that. Crows will regret overlooking this kid imo.

Yeh he's got a bit of the Swans Parker about him.
