2024 Draft Thread

If nth trade with Adelaide or Melbourne that would be good. Tauru goes at 4 or 5 then great. Gives us another mid to choose from.
Problem occurs if Nth trade below our pick 6...to a side that picks a mid with pick 2
Ie Nth gets 9 plus something. and Dees then have 2 and 5, then choose two mids.

Does not really matter.
Worst case we get..Smillie or Reid or Lindsay at 6....then get one of these or Allen or Tauru at 10.
Really we cant lose.
Nothing wrong with ...Lalor Reid Tauru Allen.... as out first 4 picks...and this is our worst case scenario.

That doesn't seem accurate to all the intel, not even close.
There's so many different suggestions all over the place General Admission. And in this instance it looks like a poorly crafted rating as well and not a prediction as such.

Will wait for 2HB Twomey and even then, it'll be less certain than in the past I suspect.

I would say there’s little chance we take Reid or Lindsay at 6 when one or both will be available at 10

I am suggesting in preference to Smillie.
I rate both Reid and Lindsay higher.
If all the other mids are gone I would take Lalor Reid then.... Lindsay or Berry or Tauru or Smillie at 10 and 11 ...depending who is available.

Tigatale....My post #14,476. states it is on the assumption Nth take Tauru.

If they take a mid and the others do too...then we are left with Smillie Reid Lindsay ot Tauru to choose from.

If they take Tauru then one of Smith, Langford or FOS or Draper are available obviously.

Thats because none of the intel is accurate or close,

With the exception of Cal Twomeys astute observation that 'richmond will consider' the entire top 30.

We have this draft by the nuts, blair is in a flow state, and tight lips make floating ships

Its like the dawning of the age of aquarias, except its scientific and its real

Regardless of how far fetched the SEN draft might be it gives us a pretty decent balance of talent.

Jagga and Langford - 2 genuine mids, good combination and 2 pretty low risk options

Tauru - the key back that could be anything

Travaglia- the dashing back flanker that runs all day

Faull and J Whitlock - two KPFs and IMO the better of the Whitlocks

Dodson - the developing ruck

Just not sure on Moraes. Would have gone someone else there

That would be very close to the perfect haul, those players for the most part are low risk but very high upside.

Agree - swap Moraes with Hynes and I would be ecstatic with that hall tbh.
