Only a month away from the mid-season draft.

What type of player should we be looking at?

We've got Tom, Nank, Soldo, Gibcus and Tarrant all out injured.

If we go for a tall, there's a 21yo over in Wa, Jack Buller who we should be giving serious consideration. He's 199cm's, is a very good overhead mark, has taken 24 marks in the first 2 rounds, after taking 7 in the 2022 WAFL GF. I reckon we could do a lot worse.

Got your eyes on anyone?

Do our mid season draft picks relate to our current ladder position or from last years season finish. Might not be a massive change to pick position seeing as it's usually a very limited draft. But even improving our pick order a tiny bit could ensure we get the bloke we want. Might keep Dildoro from stealing our blokes.

I’m pretty certain our draft position relates to our position on the ladder at the time of the draft

The draft order is decided by ladder position for the current season.

Mutaz-El Nour from our VFL side is another who has impressed me, looks to have AFL attributes.

Whats his pace like.

Don't no, do you have any prospects in mind?
Not really,l thought Archie May was a little lack lustre in the VFL,but it was his first game.
I would think that we would be trying to get a KP type, but who knows with Hartley :p

May didn't look like a ruckmen that's for sure, he did look good as a forward in a scratch match though.

Yeah, I mentioned Buller last year, great work ethic, runs and competes well. Would be a good workhorse.

I believe that was his first week back from wrist fracture and surgery. So given that he was the only key forward and playing 2 v 1 on most occasions against Durban and McMahon, it was an excellent first game

Without worrying about names, it’s a question of getting a ready made mature age player or use it to grab the best available kid thus using it as another National draft pick. IMO the latter is the way to go, we need the continue rebuilding the list for the future.
So if we did go the latter, where is our biggest area of need? Seriously we could do with reinforcements in all areas but start with the midfield and work outwards from there.
